Ruining my weekend boating plans
Given your job, I figured a boat would be the last place you'd want to be.

2 pm EDT Fri, Aug 30: We'll keep our eye on an area of disturbed weather over the northwestern Gulf of Mexico through the Labor Day weekend. The chance for tropical cyclone formation is currently low, but the system could cause some flash flooding near the coasts of Texas and… pic.twitter.com/TRXrnj9TUq

Big difference between work and towing my kids on a float 30mph down the Neches.

Do you mean September 8th or 9th? 10 days is way too far out to be bothered about anything.

Idk if I've ever seen that person post on another thread on all of texags.
Euro also toned down things which is not bad.Agasaurus Tex said:
Every GFS run is significantly different from the previous run. If 2-3 runs have similar impacts to the upper coast then maybe start paying attention.

The Atlantic has had no named storm formations since #Ernesto on August 12. The last time that the Atlantic had no named storm formations between August 13 - September 3 was in 1968. The remarkably quiet period for Atlantic #hurricane activity continues. pic.twitter.com/pLqE7I5PHn

From the SpaceX thread. I don't want to hear about climate change ever again.Sea Speed said:
I've seen so many people say on Twitter the lack of storms is due to climate change. Dmed if you do, damned if you don't.
Here’s the time-lapse I promised you from yesterday’s solar activity. Complete with Earth to scale and a bonus of the sun’s rotation.

This is easily one of my cleanest time-lapses I’ve managed over such a long period. Enjoy! pic.twitter.com/v6Gsy3OH7k

And honestly global littering (looking at ocean trash specifically) is mostly produced by fishing operations from 3rd world countriesTarponChaser said:Sea Speed said:

The global environment would be a whole lot better off if we could focus on simply reducing littering. Especially all the trash & plastics dumped into rivers and then the ocean from 3rd world shtholes.
After that, focus on natural gas and nuclear power instead of these ridiculous solar & wind inititatives.
