GFS has Houston getting rocked on the operational. The ensemble is nicer to Houston at least.

Every GFS run is significantly different from the previous run. If 2-3 runs have similar impacts to the upper coast then maybe start paying attention.

The ensembles are really still wanting to bring this more towards Mississippi/Florida. It would be good to share the pain this year with another state.

Preaching to the choir. I've walked a lot of beaches around the world and I could probably fill a trash truck with just the flip flops I've seen on the beach. But at least we don't have plastic straws anymore.

I don't make Houston out to be a Utopia but I like it here, however it really makes me sick to see the amount of trash all over the place in Houston. Even around nicer areas people seem to be just fine with tossing trash around and it seems to get worse every year. And it's similar in lots of the state.
Maybe we need to bring back the old "Don't Mess With Texas" commercials with Willie, George (Strait and Foreman), The Fabulous Thunderbirds, ZZ Top, and the like because too many trashy fckers seem to have no compunction about littering. Pisses me off.
