I don't think the TP is hurricane related. I always thought that was an odd thing to stock up on for a hurricane because if your house is wet you just lost another $50 in TP you stocked up on.

I think the dock workers strike led to some entrepreneurs buying out stores to sell but when it was settled they returned.

99% of the toilet paper we use in the US is manufactured domestically . Don't be a dumbass and stockpile TP when the next port strike rolls around.

You're asking most Americans to not make stupid decisions.

Think about what you just said.

You can tell hurricane season is truly over when people start *****ing about toilet paper hoarding.

Hard to remember what to panic about these days, what with the imminent end of democracy here in a few weeks.

My yard started looking okay, then Beryl debris, then no rain. It looks like **** again.

I don't see the big deal with a lack of rain before it turns cool and everything is about to die off anyways.

Yeah it makes the 100+ summers brutal but no rain in the fall doesn't bother me at all.

I mean thats two month of the yard and flowerbeds looking good before any chance of a freeze if we could get a little rain.

I care about that.

I think they are starting to settle down, but my allergies have been going INSANE on and off for weeks. Anyone else? I'm sure it's laregely due to the dry/windy weather, but I haven't experienced it this bad in probably two decades.

Mine are the worst they've been in 10 years.

And my trees like rain. Deep soaks are good now and then - not everything dies over the winter.

Dude it's been 90+ for the last several weeks, that's summer

Hardly. The 90+ we've had the past couple weeks also comes with 60/70s at night and low humidity.

Its worlds different than the sweltering August 90+.

I actually haven't minded the 90+ we've seen recently.

Houston has 3 seasons. Summer 1, summer 2, summer 3, and not summer. Summer 3 just ended. Not summer starts tomorrow.

Edit: 3 = 4

I do. Only got three cuts on my hay pasture this year. Was hoping for one last one. Also creeks and tanks around here are getting low. Would like them to fill up before winter time.

Zoysia. Water it on alternate days for 15 minutes. Looks like a golf course. Don't do anything else other than quarterly bifen/tekko spray.

No joke. For the past two weeks I've had to double up on Allegra D 24 and Mucinex D 12, my measure of last resort, but it didn't make dent this time. Then suddenly today- poof. Allergies cleared. I've kept my eye on the Houston Pollen and Mold report, but today was the first day that any cedar -my usual trigger- had been detected. Go figure.

The mold and ragweed have just been replaced by cedar for me, and the allergies keep going.

One thing that I've noticed over the years is that my allergies are almost always worse indoors, no matter where I'm at. But when I'm outside they tend to disappear and I breathe without issue. It's almost like I'm allergic to being inside.
