Pappas and the City of Houston were in court on Tuesday (and may still be). Anyone hear anything about it?

I found the headline "Pappas Restaurants 'Invented' Causes In Houston Airport Suit" at law360.com but didn't want to register for an account.

My opinion is the new options so far suck and not really looking forward to what is planned.

The transition from the old places to new has been extremely slow taking almost a year to open The Spot and Velvet Taco. Original press releases had every finished in 2024, but looks like only one site is under construction now.

I heard that the new vendor severely misunderstood what equipment and facilities existed at the airport as Pappas did a lot of prep off site thus needing less at the airport. Also heard that the cleanliness has dropped off

Only had the option to try breakfast tacos and they were not as good as Pappasitos.

Quality seems to have dropped a lot based on my last trip through HOU

Yeah I much preferred the consistency and quality of the Pappas restaurants at Hobby. I'm not sure why everyone was in such a rush to get rid of them, as if other options would be artisan crafted dishes instead. It's stilll going to be airport food regardless

I think most travelers see how hard it is to translate a good restaurant to an airport concept.

Pappa's seemed to do that as good as anyone.

These other local groups are now discovering it's not easy.

I recall reading that Pappas was named one of the most profitable (or efficient) airport operators in the country by some 3rd party… or something to that affect. What a shame

Yall seriously think logic and business acumen are anywhere near the DEI Utopia that is Houston city/county government? I would expect nothing less than a galactic ****show

I had the pizza last week at Hobby Airport and it was muy excellente. Clear upgrade over the previous pizza place.

The new Taco spot is good.
My problem with them is they don't do ala carte taco's.
I typically like to order the meal (which comes with two tacos) and a 3rd taco ala carte. I could always do that with Pappasito's.
Those b***ards at Latrell's had the nerve to tell me that Pappasitos was no longer running things in the terminal and that the days of ala carte taco sales were over.

Their tacos suck compared to Pappasitos. What are you on about?

Sorry to break it to you.....but the Pappasitos at Hobby wasn't anything that special. If you guys are missing that place....then I don't know what to say.

Good for Hobby Airport for putting some different restaurants in the terminal.

Having a good restaurant like Pappadeux was such a great thing IMO. If your on a long layover or delay, a good meal is at least satisfying than eating airport food.

The new options are not good and are just airport food, and agree cleanliness is down. At least Chick Fil A is still there and still most popular by far.

What a horrific name for a restaurant, Gastrohub. Gastrointestinal issues for certain.

Turner got richer and you get worse food in dirtier facilities.

Cheer up, comrade.

Most people may not know this but every restaurant at the airport was ran by Pappas from the little shops that sold waters and snacks to Chick Fil A to Pappadeaux and every restaurant in between. They operated each food service employee.
