Wife and I will be relocating to Georgetown later this month. Before just cold calling moving companies, was going to check if any Ags ran one by chance to throw some business their way.

I used 3 man movers and had them pack me and unpack as well. Best investment ever.

Just used Einstein and was very pleased with both helping pack and moving us into a rental while we get some repairs done after the hurricane. Can't compare pricing because insurance covered the bill and we didn't really price them out. But I believe they have an Austin location so they might help cut down costs for an out of town move.

I'll be saying it for sure to the Pearland area soon enough. Besides my time in Aggieland, I have lived in Houston over 30 years.

My then-fiance and I both used 3 Men Movers when we moved from Houston to Cedar Park at the end of last year and the beginning of this year. Both of those moves went well and were very reasonable for the amount of stuff and distance.

We used them again when moving from our Cedar Park rental to the home we purchased in June, and I used them back in 2019 to move in Houston.

My biggest thing with movers is having a reasonable and accurate cost estimate upfront; they have checked that box each time. They have also done a good job of taking care of our stuff, even with a couple of the moves happening in less-than-ideal weather conditions.

Ballpark square footage vs cost to move?

We are ~3300 Sq foot, fully furnished.

We moved ~3700 square feet fully furnished, and the total was just under $6000. One caveat to that was that it was actually two separate moves, so that likely means yours would be less simply from a trip charge and man hour perspective.

Most companies will come by and do a walk through for free and give you an estimate.

Beware though, I had a company come give.me a walk through estimate looking at literally everything I owned and when it came time to settle up they charged me double their estimate. I get going over a bit, things happen, but doubling your estimate your professional movers give us just absurd.

I had great experiences with clear lake movers the two times we used them. They aren't who I was talking about above.

I would avoid All My Sons. Gf used them a couple weeks ago to move out of her apartment and they were slower and less competent than most companies I've hired on emovers for far less

It was crazy how much they charged.

Second Clear Lake Movers. Used them three times, and the last one they had to come & finish a job a different company didn't finish (that's a whole story). Cheaper than others & customer service is great, from lady in the office, to management, to the guys who do the moving. Should have just gone with them in the first place.

Used these folks back when they were known as Navarre movers. It's been 15+ years so can't vouch for experience and pricing today, but they were fantastic back then. Faster and less expensive than their estimate.

A fan of 3 Men Movers. They handled a complicated move 90 miles out of town involving three homes and several storage facilities. It's been awhile but they offer cheaper prices for Tuesdays through Thursdays and always choose the morning slots.

I cannot praise SquareCow enough. They are so polite and showed up for my elderly parents' move even though my mom didn't click the confirmation link in the email we sent. We've used them 3 times. They are so polite and conscientious.

We have used Three Men Movers for 4-5 moves.
Our last move was HUGE. They were great.

I can recommend a specific crew, if you need one.

Used 3 Men Movers recently and they did a great job with the packing and moving.

We had a lot of boxes given to us by neighbors who just moved and no issue using them. They had reasonable prices for packing and remaining associated materials we needed. They made quick work of our kitchen.

To whomever said Tues-Thurs is cheaper, that still holds. Also, we had the packing crew come first thing, and they called the movers when they were done mid morning who then showed up an hour later.

Buy your own packing supplies. They charge ridiculous rates form boxes and tape. Use their newspaper print, it's cheaper.

I gave them a shout and their rates were reasonable for the actual load up and move. Will be collecting boxes myself to minimize supplies cost on packing end of things.

Where are you located? I just moved and have a ton of boxes, both new and use, as well as a ton of tape.

South of Pearland. Can meet you on Friday or possibly Saturday if its an option? I'm off on Friday running errands on the south side. Having dinner with folks at Monument Inn on saturday.

I'm in Magnolia. My schedule is pretty full for the next week so a trip into town would be a challenge.

We are going to be up in the Woodlands on Sunday if that makes things any easier?

We used 3 Men Movers to change apartments in a complex after our first couple years in Houston. One of the guys was crazy. We moved out of a second-floor unit into a third-floor unit, and this skinny-looking Hispanic guy was just a machine. He carried a queen-sized memory-foam mattress down and out by himself. We made a rookie mistake and packed a couple of medium-sized boxes with books. No problem. And he probably moved more boxes by himself than the other two guys combined. It was an impressive display.

Had to cancel on 3 Men Movers. They said they won't move my gun safe because it's too heavy, and would also not move my riding lawn mower or generator.
