Went to the first couple of "kolache pop ups" they did at the original King's in Pearland. We'd get there nice and early and sit at the bar. Hans gave us free schnapps shots... always fun bright and early in the morning! I believe the success of those pop-ups was what led to the launching of the Egg Haus concept.

Have never gotten in the habit of frequenting the LC location, but will look to start doing so. Love their schweinshaxe!

FWIW, tried Good Vibes (the original King's location in Pearland) a couple of weeks back and it was pretty darn good. The waitress said their owner / EC is working on opening a taqueria concept in LC soon.

Egghaus sucked and was overpriced....

Loved waiting for 30 minutes to get my coffee and bagel... Place had no concept of logistics, but made good bagels.

Co-worker recommended Rudi Lechner's off Gessner? Any feedback on that place?

I used to go there in the early 2000's. I liked it. I believe they used to have this weinerschnitzel covered in queso that was delicious. I don't remember a huge beer selection, but this was well before beer became what it is today.

well ***** even less of a reason to go there. i falsely assumed that someone making a recommendation on a thread about a german beer house closing would be making a similar recommendation. i should have remembered this is texags.

9 of their 75 beers are German. Which i guess is more than most bars in town.

unfortunately no, but looking at their menu they do have a lime cider or a cherry limeade THC seltzer that could get you though in a pinch

The 8th Wonder Delta 8/9 THC seltzers are pretty good and I go to sleep soon after but have wild dreams like cute aliens invading the world in fluffy space ships and comedic explosions.

If you like the 8th Wonder ones, try a Cann.

The last few I had from 8th Wonder I couldnt feel anything. The Cann's though...

I would love to try one but the employer still says we can be tested at random. It just isn't worth the risk.

Where do you get them? The best part of 8W ones is that I can get a beer(s) from the brewery when buying them for my wife. They're also 1/2 price on Wednesdays and if you're extra nice they'll give you a coupon for a free beer when checking out.

I just find that whole shopping area depressing. With as expensive and popular as the neighborhood has gotten, the owners/developers of anything around TC J and 18th really do a half ass job of developing out their large land positions. I mean the foodarama is just gonna rot, where King's was is on such a huge tract if land, surely something better can be done with it all.
