That was always my one night a year to go because all my buddies with season tix never wanted those nights and I did. Guess it will be a while before I make another show.

My GAF-o-meter doesn't work when it comes to rodeo anymore. Free suite or free club tickets (slumming it though) is about the only thing that moves the needle these days.

I 100% support all the people who volunteer at the rodeo and think it's a great organization.

As guy who grew up here, I've been so often that it really doesn't have a lot of attraction to me anymore. I tend to go once a year if I get invited to one of the private clubs. Otherwise, a stroll on a mid-week day through the livestock show is basically my annual trip.

The vendor sales girls are hard to turn down, but I mostly don't give them the time of day if they don't have a C or V in front of their title. Basically glorified suite waitresses.

When I was in my 20s and worked in an office with a bunch of other 20-somethings it was fun to go to the rodeo cookoff or a suite with them. Now that I'm basically 40 and work at a large company, there are only a handful of co-workers in my department I'd be ok spending an evening with hanging out. The only thing most of us have in common is work and I REALLY dont want to spend 3-4 more hours hearing about more work while eating steamed re-heated chicken fingers
