I believe there are already two in Dallas. At least one I know of on 75 and lovers lane, but I think there's another one in Dallas. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see them put one in Amarillo.
quote:I liked it, but the local Cilantros downtown is better IMHO. I guess its the lime rice.
Cilantros sucks. I have gotten meat there that was so chewy it had to be spit out. And rice so undercooked that it could chip a tooth. Plus, they have no system for rolling the burritos. They are poorly constructed with crap falling out all over the place and it takes forever with one person serving. Freebirds always has a dozen people ready to go. Cilantros days are numbered...oh wait, they are already gone from downtown.
Isn't there also a Cilantro's next to Fox and Hound? Just curious. I ate there once (or a burrito place in that shopping center) and thought it was pretty good.
there is still a cilantros on 82nd next to fox and hound, but there are also 2 locations for moe's, which is basically the same thing. a little over-priced though.
State of Texas is correct. Freebirds is taking the old Pinocchio's location at University and Broadway. I would estimate closer to three months before they are open. Should be a great location for them.
