I'm in Midland, and you can't really get a good cut of meat out here outside of HEB and to a lesser extent Sam's. Albertson's is awful. I'll buy ground meat at Wal-Mart, but that's about it.

was just curious if anyone is familiar with the place and if it's worth going over for a look in terms of price and quality.

I have never bought anything from them so I can't say anything about prices or service.

But I have had, some of their jalapeno and cheddar sausage, and I must say it is great.

Cowtown, have you ever tried the butcher shop on Rankin Hwy at the South end of town. It's on the edge of civilization, but they are pretty good.

The only thing I've had from Whitehouse is thier hamburgers. Really good. You can buy a package deal for a cookout. You call them up and tell them how many people you are cooking for, they prepare the meat patties, prepare the lettuce, tomatoes, onions etc. provide the buns. You pick it up and cook the meat. Very handy.

I've never bought a steak from them, but they have good sausage and hamburger meat. They process a lot of deer too. Good people.

It is like walking back in time. Good meat. Worth the time to try once.
