Anyone been to Panaderia Nuevo Leon Bakery? I was talking to one of the owners of Don Juan and he said he thinks this bakery has the best barbacoa in town. Only available Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Oh ya that place is awesome. Haven't been there in ages though. That place as been around for a very long time and I went to high school with one of the daughters.

Be careful driving a truck though… the compas will jump in the back real fast thinking you're going to give them work.

Good to hear. I will give it a try. We are trying to branch out on our local places. So many good places to eat north of the loop. Kind of sad that South Tyler is all chains, and more chains to come.

Great question… not sure. I repped a group who offered on the CFA building… LOTS of restrictions on future uses.. seems hamstrung a bit.

Whataburger a unique building and no direct Broadway access may slow lookers down..

Just my 2 cents

I know it's a relatively minor one, but if you had Schlotzky's on 323 on your "Dead Restaurant Bingo Card," you can mark the space.

I remember the first time I ate at Schlotzky's many, many moons ago. It was in the French Quarter next to The Sportster. (Son, son! We got it all!)

I think the one across from the hospitals is still there. And there's another one out on the east loop just south of 5th.

Not a restaurant, but as of March 30th add Orangetheory Fitness to the list of closings. Been open for 10 years and a ton of Aggies go there. E-mail said it was due not being able to come to an agreement on lease renewal. Guess I'll find a box gym to go to now.

Actually now a few members are looking into buying it. From my understanding its moving rather quickly as well. The current owner really wants to dump the Tyler location.
