What is considered the "main drag" in CC? Myself and some coworkers go on business there every week and have not ventured out much past downtown and our office. I have yet to see the area that is the main part of town. Any ideas? Also good restaurant suggestions would be good.

Water street

Yeah water street has a few bars and restaurants off of it.

Restaurant wise bleu bistro and republic of Texas are probably your higher end restaurants

Then you have Vietnam and water st.
And sushi bar As good places to eat but not as expensive or fancy.

If you venture to the south side of town Katz 21 is okay.

Hester's at the art museum is a really cool place for lunch

at Hesters you can sit outside if you wish or behind the big glass windows inside. It sits right on the entrance to the port and I never eat lunch there that I don't get to see a tanker or barge come in or go out of the port, often with dolphins as advance men. You also get a nice view of the Harbor Bridge, which is about a block away, and the Lexington, which is just across the Port a ways.

The pelicans, great blue herons, terns, etc, make for some nice sites too. If the weather is decent and the wind is not high it is the most pleasant place in town to enjoy a meal.

but....but.....Dragonfly is owned by the Frenchman who is the cook. They serve French styled seafood and steaks and.......damn, but it is great. I agree....best food here.
