Anyone have experience with this software?

I'm hesitant to make changes to my F150 but I need to.

yup changed a couple of different things on my f250

I've got the software and VCD plug if you have questions or need help.

Ive used it a lot on several different f150's. Mainly turning off auto start/stop

What changes are you wanting to do?

I did mostly benign stuff like auto-fold mirrors, disabling the sounds at startup, seat belt alarms, etc. It's fairly easy to do if you follow online tutorials and the spreadsheet (got that from F150 forums).

I need to change my tire sizes, but I want to change the seat belt alarm, double honk if outside the cab.

I found the spreadsheet but it's unclear on what to put in for tire sizes. There's some premade ones but my tires don't conform to the pre-mades.

I did the Lincoln-style, which fold out when I open the driver door. This is on a 2018 Lariat, so I'm not certain all of the models it will work on.

I haven't changed the tire size, so probably can't help much there.

Really just need to invest in the cables or go to 1ags' one weekend. Also, FWIW you can disable the seat belt alert without FORScan. It's in the manual.

Want to:
Auto fold mirrors
Change blinker to 5 blinks
Revise power point access to 2 hours after truck turned off
Disable fake car noise

I bought the cable and I have the software installed...I was reading that I need a license of some sort? But I don't know where to get that.

Haven't done it, but if I remember correctly from my F-150 forum reading, don't you just get it on the forscan website? I'm sure 1ags can correct me if I'm wrong.

Haven't decided if I want to disable the auto start/stop....honestly doesn't bother me.

Does anyone know if you can disable the power to your sun visor 10/15 minutes after you turn off the car? Basically, I don't like that if someone breaks into my truck at night they can use the garage door opener button on my visor to open my garage......

That's my understanding. Never thought about it, but one day we parked my wife's car in the driveway and I got in and went to close the garage before starting it. It wouldn't work (light signaling the button was engaged wouldn't even turn on). Started the car and sure enough it worked. FWIW her car has the buttons in the rear view mirror.

Got me to thinking so I got in my 2011 F-150 and the button worked without starting the car. A few days later when getting home I left the car unlocked. A couple hours later I tried the garage door opener and it worked. I erased the program from the visor buttons and just used the remote for the garage door opener and took it inside every night.

Just got a 2018 and my research shows the same issue. Haven't physically tested it yet. But my understanding is you have power to the visor at all times. So the vanity mirror light and remote link buttons will always have power to them.

In reality, not a huge issue. Pretty damn easy to hack garage door openers. But, peace of mind. Sucks to think if i forgot to lock my truck someone can just get in then open my garage and have access to anything in it.

Thanks to all who responded with useful info. Got the changes I wanted done and it turned out I was just being overly cautious...

Updated my tire sizes
Removed the driver side belt minder
Enabled Bambi mode
Deleted the double honk when you exit the cab with your fob
