Hire an attorney and sue the stupid out of her!
Aren't you supposed to have the breathalizer things attached to the ignition for 1-year after a DUI arrest?Naveronski said:
Second DWI in less than a year?!
We just had a similar accident in Fort Worth; she should never drive again.

it was at 3:45pm on Arrington road in front of Blue Baker when I saw a car driving approximately 50 miles per hour straight towards me in my lane. I swerved at the last second to avoid a head on collision, and the car hit my rear passenger side and spun me nearly in a full circle and across the road.
The driver was arrested at the scene for driving while intoxicated but only after first trying to leave the scene and then refusing to cooperate with EMS and the police for an hour.
So she came across the middle turn lane too! Holy crap that's bad. I always remember my dad teaching me though NOT to turn left into oncoming traffic...even in the event of a head on, was better to run into the ditch on the right than to potentially go head on by veering to the left. Glad you're okay though!chrisfield said:
Yes, I attempted to swerve into the middle turn lane when it became clear she wasn't going to stop or make any attempt at not hitting me on head on.
So I know a guy that went through this a few times, he had a very good lawyer and in this situation he plead guilty to the first and the 2nd was dropped. The 3rd conviction got him 6 years and he was paroled after 9 months, costing him over $70K (half for trial lawyer, half for parole lawyer). His prison included a mandatory alcohol program in a special unit and there were folks that got 15 years for their first but they probably had a record and a public defender.chrisfield said:
She hasn't even done a plea yet on the first one and now has a second.

Yes. I'm probably a bit defensive still since it was only 36 hours ago and the whole thing still scares the hell out of me. Either way, I'm glad it worked out since she didn't ultimately make any attempt to leave my lane.
