I'm currently 44 but all the stars are lining perfectly. I feel like I'm in the pre-midlife crisis era right now. That and right around age 49-50 I'll be in the market for a 70k dollar vehicle.

I've always wanted a Porsche. Corvette seems to be on my mind a lot lately.

What did you get or do you plan on getting?

I prefer to call it my empty nester 2 seater versus mid-life crisis car!

I've wanted a Porsche since I was a young teenager when I came home from the Houston car show with multiple Porsche posters when they actually gave stuff out. I just bought a 2025 Porsche 718 Boxster S a few weeks ago. It is more incredible that I ever imagined.

I'm 35 and have been trying to have a midlife crisis every year for about 4 years. Never know when I'll go so don't want to miss it.

About at 40, started flying but private pilot license would have voided my life insurance.

Bought an RV class A diesel pusher and a 911.

Almoat 20 years later, still have the RV.. Sold the 911 after 14 years. Took $10k depreciation.

Bought a mustang GT at 35, somewhat as a wild hair in not replacing my truck and wanting something "fun" as a third vehicle.

I've really enjoyed the car and tinkering with it, but am likely going to sell both of "my" cars next year and get into a new truck.

We've still got 3 young kids and while it'll be a while before even the oldest is driving age, I don't want an "extra" car at that time.

Besides, my true "mid life" car is a vette, and I'll get one of those when the youngest gets to college.

I'm 43 and I've always thought Vettes were dumb, old guy cars but lately I've found myself lusting after a C6, 7 or 8. My kids are still too little though.

I planned to get something big for my 50th but my pre-midlife crisis 2 seater still only has 40k miles.

And we moved to the coast so that counts.

I bought a "before I get married and have kids car"

At 25 got a 02 C5 Z06. 9,300 miles.

15 years later I've still got it, 26,500 miles

My son thinks it's going to be his when he turns 16.

I bought the Corvette that was new in showrooms when I was a high school senior. Slow by Corvette standards but very nostalgic. Damn thing needed constant work and I finally sold it. GM quality then was absolute dog *****

Still trying to convince the wife on a hog. Kids are still young so waiting a bit but I already know regardless of when it's going to be time spent on the couch.

One of my sons asked me that when, on a whim, I purchased in 2017 a 1998 Boxster.

I told him, "Bills are paid, kids are grown, I've a full head of hair, your mom looks like a fox, and I don't need a 4-door. There's no crisis".

You could redeem yourself if your station wagon is one of those Mercedes AMG 600hp beast wagons.

Post a pic of that bomb! I've been trying to inspire my wife to permit a wagon. The older the better.

I'll have to wait until she gets a place of her own.

Not mine, but it's just like it. I really like the P2 chassis Volvo's. Best seats ever and they are really reliable when taken care of.

Im sorry to hear that

All jokes aside I looked at "classic" station wagons online not long ago. Mostly stuff from the 70s and 80s

As a teenager I had free reign over a Country Squire wagon for a couple of weeks. My only instructions were "don't blow the motor" because my Dad bought it just for the engine so we could fix our farm truck.

Speaking from experience a full size Ford wagon is a pretty awesome off-road machine if you have enough conviction with the throttle pedal......

I'm 44 and about to get another fun car. Have a Land Cruiser but want something speedy. Probably a 911.

Not a mid life crisis car. No crisis here. Just want to reap some rewards of working hard before I'm 65.
