Thanks Dr. Dr.

So then the question becomes.... which is worse?

The extra NOX & less CO2?
Or the NOX reduction & increased CO2 (and all the associated emissions with moving DEF around the country)?

2006 Dodge 2500 5.9L
2017 Ford F350 6.7L (still carrying the extra weight of the DPF/SCR system).

Stinky Regen & cloud from that? Or No regen at all?

Eitherway.....brodozer and his rolling coal still are major toolbags, regardless of the truck year.

All good now. Delt with a schreeching noise for few days and eventually tracked it down to the OE EGR pipe gasket that you reuse when installing the block off plate. I might have installed it upside down, but a few people online seemed to have a similar issue, so I got a new one from Ford for $13. Super quiet now.

I also pulled out the DeF tank. It was 50ish pounds with 2-3 gallons of DEF still in it. All in all, I lost 180-200lbs

Next on the list is cab mounts.

Man, I want to do this so bad, but I don't think I have the competency to DIY it. And at this point I'm 1) not sure I want to pay for someone to do it and 2) don't know where to take it to get it done.

If you leave the EGR cooler on, it's just replacing the DPf with a pipe and uploading the tune. Not too bad at all

Is it possible to delete a 21' Duramax 2500?

I was told I would have to replace the computers.

Used to you had to buy a new one and send in your core or send yours in. I think now you can do it at home with some of the Canadian kits i've seen.

Just did 3000 miles in 3 weeks on a big trip out along the Gulf Coast, up to Charleston, and back through Tenn and Arkansas.

I got 10.5mpg pulling the camper which weights 8000-9000 lbs. This was at 65-75 mph and various winds.

I blew the cold side pipe on I-10. Not sure that was related to the tune/delete stuff, as its a known failure point, but was able to drop the camper and limp it to a dealer and let them rob me of $350 for the OE part. Got it back together in their parking lot and on to Gulf Shores.

In the lowest tune, she pulls great. Transmission shifting sometimes feels different, but maybe not. No smoke unless yon get in a weird spot and it wants to downshift.

Cold side is always an issue. Mine started cracking which lead to a whole piping kit and intake. Well worth it.
