You have an inkling about Ford's generator choice?

Guessing it's 2.3 or 2.7 ecoboost

I don't see a case for a turbo application. If I were going to guess at this point, maybe the 3.3 L out of the Ford Explorer police interceptor utility.

Seems unnecessary to me too, I'm just not familiar with Ford's NA lineup. So if figured IF they wanted to go fast the 2.7 boost already fits in the F150s. Didn't realize this was going on the next gen anyway.

Whatever one thinks of the Pentastar, it does seem perfect for the Ram REV.

This was part of their press release.

I already knew they would never recover their investment from the lightnings and other EV's.

I love my lightning, but I purchased it by choice, not due to some government mandate. Currently at 62,000 miles, hopefully the values drop, so when I get ready to replace this one, I can grab a lower mileage unit for not much money.

Two things jump out at me on this:

1. The operating reliability hasn't changed. It's always been in the red for these vehicles. That's hilarious.
2. The universal EV platform is the exact strategy that the Stellantis CEO was touting....and that idea was part of the reason he got fired.

Ford was very smart when they split their businesses into model E and Ford blue. The goal was in case the EV failed, they could just let that one file for bankruptcy and the internal combustion division would survive.

Seems interesting that they still want to dip a pinky toe into it
