Of those opposed to lane splitting, you never speed or camp in the passing lane, right?
Is it different?
When I'm in car/truck mode, this is my biggest pet peeve!! I hate the left lane "campers" and would LOVE to see DPS pulling these a-holes over and ticketing them for not yielding to faster traffic.
So the guy in the left lane doing the speed limit should move over and let the guy doing 10 over go through? Camping in the left lane is a crime but doing 10 over the limit is not. That's kind of a "the rules are for thee and not for me" attitude isn't it?
Yes. Get the hell out of the way. I never understood while this is such a hard concept.
If you're not passing get out of the left lane. If you are passing and there's someone coming up behind you that's going faster get out of the left lane as soon as it's safe to do so. If you want to continue passing after they move on through then feel free to enjoy the left lane again.
I'm convinced left lane police are probably miserable people all the time.
So if I'm in the left lane doing the speed limit and passing people in the right lane that are going slower, I'm supposed to slow down and move over into the right lane with them so you can pass me while you cruise at 75?
Not necessarily. But if you can move over without slowing down while letting the faster traffic pass then get back over, cool. Me personally, I always yield to faster traffic.
I find the main offenders of being a left lane camper are semis (can't wait for auto driving semis doing interstate runs over night) and old white guys in F250s that seem to have a I don't give a damn about anyone else mentality.
