He has a 13 yr old Tundra that needs lots of work and he doesn't need a truck bed.
He should get a 4 yr old Sequoia that is in great shape and he can keep for 10 years. He'd pay half what a new one would cost and would get a more reliable drivetrain and more passenger and cargo room.
Bought a "used" Armada Platinum on Christmas Eve '13, with 525 miles. Still driving it today with >225k. Only ever had to replace the alternator 6 years ago. Paint has started to sunburn, and it could probably stand to have the suspension reworked, but it has been an excellent vehicle.
Well, I test drove an Armada Pro-4x. I honestly couldn't believe it was a Nissan. It was really impressive. Drove really well. Super quiet inside with very comfortable interior. The tech was pretty good. Fit and finish was great. Engine bay laid out really well.
My only issue is price. Really will have to wear them down if I decide to pull the trigger as can't see paying more than 65-70k OTD. I think these have been on the lot for quite a while tho so maybe can pull it off...
I'd join some of the Armada groups on Facebook or Reddit. People there tend to post their deals. That's where we found ours. I'm in Houston but caught wind of Clay Cooley Nissan that was knocking off 13k off MSRP of '25 Platinums, which is what we ended up going with (6 months ago, mind you). I was dealing with another dealership that wouldn't budge on their '25s. Good luck and hopefully you can find someone that will cut you a deal.
