Saw another poster use this title for an old vehicle purchase and thought it was very fitting for my situation.
I've been itching for another Jeep project after selling my 1989 Wrangler several years ago. Found what was the cheapest YJ on Facebook marketplace and went to take a look at it. 1992 YJ that had been a deer lease rig for the last seven years or so. No rust being a Texas jeep and was mechanically sound after the previous owner had done some work on the transmission and a few other items. Got him to knock off even more $ and I couldn't pass it up. No title so I knew what I was getting myself into here.
My main goal was to make certain all necessary maintenance was performed to make certain it would be mechanically sound and then to clean it up a bit to make it comfortable to drive. I'm not looking for a trail rig or a complete restoration, just something fun to drive around the country and into town to get parts or such.
Two months later, it's looking much better. I plan on body and paint work in a couple of years as I want to get some good use out of it for the short term. Working on bonded title now and hope to have it done and registered prior to the end of July.
