This week's log, I think I'm just amazed at how much caffeine you seem to drink in a day. I don't think that's particularly bad for you, but I know if I have more than 2 it plays all sorts of games on my gut and sleep patterns.

Yeah that's a lot of coffee and not near enough water. You should be drinking double. Weight /2+32=oz per day. That plays a huge part. Also you aren't mentioning exercise. Any at all? Eating needs to be 1/4 plate protein, 1/4 good carbs and 1/2 veggies. Sounds like you need a structured plan as opposed to WW. More so a lifestyle shift in lieu of a diet. I have done a plan off and on for the last three years. I have lost 30+ lbs in a few months and then life got in the way. Currently I am down 28 lbs in a little over two months. 6-1 and started at 230, today 202. At your weight, no reason you shouldn't drop 15 lbs in the first month. I am coming into this thread late, but your effort caught my attention. Good Job, BTW.

I have never been over 200# and I am 6'2", but when I did the Whole 30 diet I lost 28 pounds in 30 days and felt like I was 25 again. I couldn't believe how much more energy and mental sharpness I had at 48 years old. I was out playing soccer with college students. I slowly let my diet go so I've gotten strict recently and now at 50 I find myself feeling younger again still.

I recently started following Dr. Jay Wrigley on Twitter and a few other functional medicine docs. You might find some of their info helpful. They say the key to not feeling snacky is more protein rich, nutrient dense meals. My experience tells me it's true. Even when eating plenty of animal fat, my cholesterol levels are low.

Solid day right there! I see you got your gallon of water in and both meals look pretty good. I actually paused when I saw the avacado ranch but MyFitnessPal shows about the same calories as Olive Oil.

How are you doing skipping breakfast? Energy level good now that your body is adjusting to it?

Body still adjusting to it. But I must say it is easier for me to remain in fast in the morning rather than eating in the morning and starting my fast earlier.

BTW got the book last Saturday and had it read by Sunday night. Makes a ton of sense. Plan on starting my 5/2 schedule next week.

Excellent. Just keep pushing the coffee and plenty of water in the AM and the mornings will get easier. Before long you'll be wondering how you ate those big breakfasts all those years. (I did!)
