@OO - I finally watched the Big Bend beer mile episode. That looked fun in a type 2 fun kind of way, but way to power through. It made for some nice Friday afternoon entertainment while waiting for the weekend.

If you like the type 2 fun videos, wait until you get to see what I'm editing right now. We did a modification of the 9-9-9 challenge last month. If you aren't familiar with 9-9-9, google it.

We did it via zoom, so its been a bear to edit. Hoping I can be done with in in the next week or so, but editing time hasn't been easy to find lately.

Looking forward to seeing this one! I enjoy food, a lot, but I can't fathom being able to complete this one myself.

Almost felt bad for that guy Jim passed in the final miles. He never stood a chance and you could almost tell from his body language that he knew it.

Some great runners lined up today but after his past couple DNFs here plus being a brand new Dad, I think I'm pulling for Tom Evans today. Would love to see him have a great race.

Heather Jackson is still going. Currently 18th female.

Less than 3 weeks from Wildstrubel 70k and I suddenly got a compressed nerve in my neck a few days ago. First day was extremely painful but it's subsiding pretty quick. Hopefully I'll still be at the starting line. Already going to be chasing cutoffs and this is just another thing to go along with the plantar fasciitis and capsulitis that will be slowing me down but hope lives eternal I suppose or something like that.

well, I guess I'm in for the 2026 Angeles Crest 100. The RD emailed me last week offering entry and a chance at redemption. The race is in October next year, so should be cooler, which would be beneficial. I was on the fence about whether or not to do the race, but ultimately decided to give it a go. I may regret it, but its over a year out, so plenty of time to forget about signing up for another 100.

You know who to call if you need a pacer! My October is free. I'm a better pacer than runner.

This is my favorite video you guys have done yet. The carnival music at the start plus the laugh tracks were killing me. I'm incredibly impressed no hotdogs were returned to sender.

I have no idea how we both kept it all down. We both got very close to puking multiple times.

and the laugh track was a late addition, but it cracked me up so I added it. Glad someone else enjoyed it.

just got my first shipment of Terignota gear. Will run in it tomorrow, but first impression is, this is some quality apparel. It seems to be higher quality than stuff that costs 2-3X the price.

if anyone cares, initial feedback is very positive. I'm deep into a taper, so can't do anything long yet, but I really liked the gear. The shirt is super lightweight and soft. The shorts are comfortable and fit well. I think they would be great for ultras with the amount of storage space in the waistband. I do with they had a regular pocket in addition to the waist storage, but that would not prevent me from buying more in future. Socks are a little snug, but they felt good on the run. I imagine they will stretch out a bit more as I get more wear in them.

Overall, I'm curious to see what the durability is of this stuff since the price point is lower, but I have zero reasons to believe this stuff isn't well-made. I've burned through so many name brand socks and gear at this point that I'm tired of paying premium prices for stuff that doesn't last.

If my opinion doesn't change, terignota will likely be my main source for apparel/gear. I pre-ordered the vest as well, but that won't come until nov. I know the company has plans to release a jacket and some half tights as well.

Anyone done Sky Island out in Fort Davis? My buddy and I are talking about maybe giving it a go next year.

Several times, but not since trail roots took it over. The course has changed a bit, as i believe the start/finish is now at prude ranch instead of in the state park.

I've been observing from a distance waiting to hear some reviews before pulling the trigger on any of their gear. Thanks for sharing your experience. I really appreciated their financial transparency report they released previously and look forward to trying their stuff.

Leaving for Barkley Fall Classic in the morning. Gonna be warm and humid Saturday, so it should feel pretty normal for me. We are starting at the prison this year instead of the park, so it's going to be really interesting to see what the course looks like this year.

Well, BIL's flight got delayed and he missed the connection. Its TN home game, so travel is ****ed. Im now (hopefully) landing in knoxville at noon, driving 3 hours to Nashville to get him, and the driving 3 hours back. We will miss packet pickup which means we will ve going into the course mostly blind as we will get a map right before the start.

Can you go to packet pickup then go get him?

Would have added even more time. I think he found a ride from Nashville to the race. I'll find out when I land.
