When was the last time we were top 5 in-season?
I don't think it's happened since I became a student in 2006. Am I wrong?

I think we have a better shot at OSU losing- especially this weekend as they play OregonBonzer103 said:Agsuffering@bulaw said:

And that probably won't be this week vs Western Carolina. tu or K St prob the best shot for a loss until they play OkSt

We were fourth in the CFP Committee's ranking (for a week), but think we were 6th in the AP. Obviously the former is more important but I assume the person who asked was referring to being ranked in the AP Poll.KCup17 said:

Colorado players are all closing in on 50 years old now. Should be an easy win.AGinHI said:

After 1999, the only time A&M has been ranked by the AP in the top 5 in-season was:Brian Earl Spilner said:

That's not the Colorado team we are going to be facing this weekend.
If we count the only ranking source that counts, the CFP had us at #4 in 2016Womackster said:Brian Earl Spilner said:

I think we may have been in one of those Sumlin years where we'd go 6-0 to start the season but then proceed to s**t the bed the rest.
Correction: only got as high as #6 in 2014 and 2016
that was a fun week.Alpha Texan said:If we count the only ranking source that counts, the CFP had us at #4 in 2016Womackster said:Brian Earl Spilner said:

To be fair they played pretty well and had little difficulty with ULL. Too early to tell what that means though.Vinny said:

If you don't like it, then don't participate. Appointing yourself the stadium morality cop is arrogant and twenty other negative things.

We could be top 4 next Monday.
They beat a ranked team with a freshman qb, definitely a more quality win than ours...Also, maybe you don't know much about Texas, Stevie Wonder could see this ranking coming...Vinny said:
