This is pretty darn embarrassing. I'm all for tradition, but this sort of silliness has got to go. The rest of the world sees this idiocy and thinks it either just weird or down right sadistic. Is this how we want to recruit future students? "Come to A&M, shave your head, and fondle your nuggets on national TV!"

It doesn't matter how "traditional" or how much history there might be behind it. The fact remains that its unprofessional, uncouth behavior, espeically on national TV.

I bet those little fishies mothers are really proud of them right now.

Time for this one tradition to go!

This thread is hilarious. The first 6 replies didn’t know what squeezing is – but the guesses gained no less than two “gay” responses. Then when aggiecadet02 finally knew what it is, now it is a national blight on the image of A&M! Didn’t any of you go to college? Quit taking yourselves so seriously,

I am all for tradition but this one has to go. Besides, the last 10 years or so, it seems like this is the only "squeezing" we've been able to pull off successfuly.....

I had never heard of it until some sips brought it up. I've never seen anyone do it. Sounds pretty gay to me.

What do all the normal schools with no unique tradition do to pass the time?

Thanks for an interesting etymology. For those of you with AgTags who are embarrassed by Aggie b.s., try not to take yourselves so seriously. My experience is that everything in life is more enjoyable if I don't worry so much about what everyone is thinking. Oh, and for the guy who is so humiliated by what is said by fake t-sippers on sip message boards, do you honestly think TAMU could ever do anything that would earn the respect you want from the sips? I believe if the Ags had just won their 6th straight MNC in football, the standard sip response would be, "...well, at least I went to a real university, and not some football factory."

For the record, I wasn't on the field, so I felt no compunction to harm my anatomy. We re-interpreted it to mean lock arms with our buddies like in saw varsity during an especially risky play or tough situation.

I would consider myself Old Army (Class of '77) and my wife and I still "squeeze" on big plays (including ALL kicks). We hold hands and squeeze each others hand. I know that may sound gay to a lot of Ags, but it works for us and keeps the tradition alive in a safe and constructive way!

I remember seeing that at the watching party in DC thinking WTF?!? Way to represent. You aren't even looking at the play on the field and it looks like you are all humped over each other in a massive daisy chain of gayness. Please let this one die a quick death.

Let's see when the tradition died out...

It was alive and well when I graduated in '79.

I remember "Squeeze Army!" well. However, I participated in the tradition only marginally, in an intelligent way. I did not harm my anatomy, but placed my hands high on my thighs and "Humped it". I'm sure that the traditionalists will think that is not RedAss enough and the young Ags will think it is ghey, but hey, to each his own. (I hope every one here knows what "Hump it" means!)
