Stopped reading at TU. If you are so ignorant to not know it is a little t and a little u, nothing else you have to say can be worth reading.

I hate to say it, but Texas has been elite over the last two years:
1. Texas is 25-2 over the last two years, including 15-2 (8-1 Big 12 in 2023 and 7-1 SEC in 2024) in conference games.

2. Texas has made back-to-back conference championship game appearances.

3. Texas has made back-to-back playoff appearances and won 2 playoff games against 10-4 (6-2 ACC) ACC Champion Clemson and 11-3 (7-2 Big 12) Big 12 Champion Arizona State.

4. Texas has won an FBS leading 11 consecutive road games since a 41-34 loss at Oklahoma State on 10/22/2022.

5. Texas has the No. 1 recruiting class in the country.

Hopefully, Mike Elko can bring this football program to the next tier by recruiting some great players, adding key transfer portal players, and properly coaching and developing them. If Elko can do these things and retain most of the top players, we can become a great SEC team that can contend for the playoffs most years. Over the last 3 years, Texas won 10 more regular season games (30-6 to 20-16) than we have because they have won 11 consecutive road games, and we have lost 12 of our last 14 road games. Winning road games will be crucial to finishing 9-3 or better

I can speak as a former sip tshirt fan in HS, the marketing thing is the real problem. As a kid with no ties to either school, you choose the team to root for based on brand and marketing. 2 major choices for my home state of Texas is TAMU and UT. One team is orange and their jersey says "TEXAS" the other team is maroon and the jersey says "TEXAS A&M" So, at quick glance as a young boy age 6 or 7, one teams represents "TEXAS" the other represents "TEXAS A&M". Well, I know I'm from Texas so I want to choose the team that represents me as a Texan. Boom, decision made and i was locked into being a tshirt sip fan until the year after I graduated HS. I was such a big fan of college football and what it did differently to the NFL (traditions, bands, atmosphere, passion) that I found myself researching the unique traditions of different universities. I found myself slowly realizing that TAMU had some incredible traditions. I then noticed that EVERYTHING that made CFB better IMO than the NFL, TAMU did BETTER than tu. I slowly found myself rooting for A&M and slowly started to despise the fact that tu was winning more and getting more publicity than the clearly better culture of CFB found at TAMU. The only way to ever win the majority of the Texans with no ties is to either rebrand the football team with just "TEXAS AGGIES" so young fans feel represented and not confused (that won't ever happen A&M is here to stay. The only other option to getting the new generations into the TAMU camp is to WIN WIN WIN. It's the same concept as Bama and Auburn. People in Alabama (unless they have ties to Auburn) are most likely going to choose to support BAMA with minor exception. Our current brand won't beat the horns when it comes to the masses unless TAMU starts piling up the trophies. I still want TAMU success and I want national exposure so the nation can see how amazing the 12th man is, how loud Kyle Field can get and how incredible the FTAB is along with the other traditions. The most passionate and impressive CFB culture in the U.S is found in Texas and the world should know it's TAMU not tu. The most frustrating part is that aggies DESERVE football success. Aggies are loyal and do their part every single game in Kyle Field only to get let down. Rant over.
Been saying it for decades...lose the "A&M" and go all in on "Texas Aggies." Our admin 20 some odd years ago pushed for the "A&M" national branding as we were being overshadowed at the time by our predicament of being in the Big 12 and under the sip media bias.

Now that we have a national brand, it's time to return to our core roots and be known nationally as who we have ALWAYS been and that is "Texas Aggies." No brainer!

I saw a TikTok video that AZ State is appealing the game's outcome because during regulation their blocked field goal that struck the turf bounced up & still went through the uprights before ever being touched by another t.u. player after the initial block, so under these circumstances, it allegedly should have counted.

I'm LAZY & GULLIBLE, so I absolutely didn't do any research to verify; but, does such a rule even exist?

IF it does & the 3 points should have counted, what actual recourse would happen? The other important issue made in the video was the 'power' that the Playoff Committee holds over games, not NCAA bylaws &/or conference terms, which seemed to imply they could alter the outcome???

Please advise, regardless if this comment solidifies my stupidity in many folks' mind; thanks!

TU gets:
1) the easiest SEC schedule this year and maybe of all time
2) to play the worst ranked team first round in the playoffs
3) to play the second worst ranked team in the second round
4) the non-targeting call that kept ASU from almost assuredly winning
5) to play the the semi-final in Dallas, which is essentially a home game for them

And we're supposed to believe there is no bias.

And no night SEC road games…….(except our dismal failure)

Texas Aggies is inaccurate. If it weren't, every team with Texas in the name of their university could jump on the bandwagon. Texas Bobcats, Texas Horned Frogs, Texas Roadrunners, Texas Miners, etc. That's not how it works.

No TEXAS AGGIES is not inaccurate....it was historically the vernacular used to identify Aggies for years...decades in fact.
It was even painted on Kyle Field End Zone in big letters for years. It was when I was in school in the the 1980's and before then.
The origins of the term Texas Aggies or widespread and traditional use of "Fightin' Texas Aggie" in Aggie vernacular go way back many decades before anyone on this board was around.
The term "Fightin' Texas Aggie" i believe has its origins in the very earliest days of the Aggie Band pre-1900 and the rowdy methods by which they selected their leaders.
The term TEXAS AGGIES may have been used to distinguish themselves from the several other colleges who used the term AGGIES such as Utah State, New Mexico State, North Carolina A&T, and in the early years of the SWC Oklahoma A&M (now Okla State Cowboys).
Back then..we just called ourselves Fightin TEXAS AGGIES.
It wasn't a backhand at t.u. ...or a geographic marketing twist.
It was just how we referred to our community.

I have lived in Austin for 6 years, and I have noticed that Austin is the most highly sought-after city.

Austin led the nation as the most highly sought-after city, with the share of millennials growing by nearly 16 percent from 2018 to 2022. Millennials in 2022 made up 27.3 percent of the entire city's population, or 673,000 residents, according to CommercialCafe's findings.

Those who continue to make excuses to why they win is just putting their heads in the sand.

They will likely lose to tOSU, but it they are the only team in the "final 4" the past 2 years. Winning it all is always hard and requires some breaks, but you have to consistently get their to win.

The good part about corruption on the non targeting call. It's getting tons of media attention.

In the past this would have been swept under the rug. Not so much now bc they made it so obvious.

Problem with your theory is that there was targeting on a Texas player just a few minutes prior that also wasn't called by officials. I don't feel sorry for any team that has to rely on the refs for bailing them out. Asu's play call didn't result in a 1st down and that targeting wasn't the reason they didn't gain enough yardage. If Asu wanted that first down, then call a play that gets enough yards for a first down.
Onionman

That previous play was not even remotely similar to the obvious targeting no call that tu got away with. The previous play there was no hit to the head or neck area. He hit him in the chest. The play near the end of regulation was clearly a hit to the head.

You would be livid if the situation was reversed.

Correct

It's not whining by Aggies when every single fan base and every single official has stated it was clearly targeting as well.

It makes zero sense for even one Ag not to a state they only won the game bc of the corrupt call. It's actually kind of weird if an Ag is stating the call was not corrupt or wrong or made no difference. You might need to set up a session with Aggie Therapist to help you out.
