That's all on admin Quality Control to allow sh*t like that. Total lack of attention to detail. Typical of TAMU football, especially back then.

Again, the schools dictate uni/helmet designs, color shade, stripes, alt unis, fonts, etc. Nike, Adidas, Ridell, etc. work diligently with teams on stuff like this. Final approval is on the school not the other way around.

Quality control under licensing contracts but do not dictate all of that. Veto is a better picture word.

I doubt Oregon vetoes anything ever. And I bet Fertitta has similar leverage at Houston. Big donors get big say.

The Nike uniforms looked sharp but the color was bad (you're right, lack of attention to detail) then adidas came in and the color was great but the uniforms in 2007-2009 were terrible garbage. Those "grey" pants were hideous and the stripes were embarrassing on all of the pants. 2010 uniforms had zig zag pants, lolz. Something changed under Sumlin to make the uniforms better and our overall attention to detail improved, I'd like to know who behind the scenes got hired because they cared. Now our current uniforms need some work, mainly with the font of numbers and letters; they look like the numbers of a Chevy dash board. Terrible.
