Who cares, they are all paid athletes. No emotional connection anymore.
Hear is a word of warning in regard to potential future season tickets that may be many years down the road for you:AgBQ_95 said:I'm aware of this - but I have tickets on the east side - 45 yard line first deck. I'm not going to be able to touch tickets in that area and frankly, after being treated this way, I am not sure I want to attend anymore Aggie Athletic events. Maybe after time passes, but right now I have a really sour taste in my mouth that I don't see going away anytime soon.Matsui said:
you can still go to every game without donating
just buy tickets week to week

After 25 years of season tickets to Aggie Football, I was informed today by the 12th Man Foundation that they will no longer be accepting matching gifts from my employer. As such, I am unwilling to double the amount of my donation to an organization who it seems has zero loyalty. Good luck to you all, but I think my Saturdays and my money will be better spent elsewhere.

That really stinks man but all we are to them are dollar bills. A&M doesn't care about anything but money and DEI.

But why?
They said my company did not match gifts to athletics. That is nothing new, and has been the case for well over 10-15 years (since before my kids were born). However, they informed me that was not an issue and to just send a letter stating that the request from my company should come from Texas A&M rather than the 12th Man.
So apparently I just became expendable. Like I said, it's no big deal. I have better ways to spend my time, but it's just disheartening to have to explain to my kids why we won't be continuing this fall tradition that they have always known since they were babies.

I gave up 8 season tickets, 4 were mine, 4 were my fathers, in 2019. We had them since 1972. The entire football experience has turned into massive experience for the wealthy. I'm not into expensive NFL and I'm sure not going to contribute to making college football the same. I can do much more with mega dollars than watch a futile college football program nor am I going to contribute to minor league egotistical football players becoming quite wealthy by signing with a university. Six months later these players are going to transfer for another mega deal.AgBQ_95 said:

I'm going to go ahead and guess that you were NOT, in fact, giving "MEGA" dollars.Quote:

So they did you a solid for 15 years and you got good seats as a result. And now that their policy changed and your company's matching donation to the university can no longer be counted towards your donation level to the 12MF, you want to play victim and cry about it.AgBQ_95 said:
You didn't read well. This has been my company's policy for 15+ years and the 12th Man made it work. Something changed in their end (the 12th Man) and I became expendable.

They're called "LOOK AT ME" posts.
"I've never given A&M a dime after I graduated and I don't live in the state of Texas, but I'll drop by to make sure that everyone knows I don't give anything."
Cool story bro. We all know the 12MF ain't calling asking you for money either.

Lol- jealous of what? I make a choice every year to renew my seats, and if I felt conned, I wouldn't do it.
Just don't think anybody gives a fk about how much money you don't donate when you have ZERO intentions of having season tix. No one cares, but you thought you'd deliver a little high horse lecture.
Everyone knows that 99.999% of 12MF donors are doing it for the season tix.

I'm an endowed donor since 1982 so my tickets are free. I generally make two games a year and sell the rest. So, financially I make out fine. I wouldn't pay any money for the garbage we've been putting out for decades.
