On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Live, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as the spring sports are underway. Men's basketball and women's basketball wrap up SEC play as baseball and softball season continues. 


Football
It was reported by Adam Schefter that the Jaguars planned on releasing WR Christian Kirk. Not even 24 hours later, Diana Russini now reports that Kirk will be headed to Houston in a trade for a 2026 seventh-round pick.

Basketball
Coming off a massive win over No. 1 Auburn, A&M looks to finish their SEC schedule on a strong note at LSU this weekend at 3 p.m. Wade Taylor IV is just nine points away from breaking Bernard King’s record of 1,990 points. 

Women’s Basketball
On Wednesday in Greenville, SC, Joni Taylor and the Aggies suffered their 11th straight and final loss of the 2024-25 season as Tennessee eliminated Texas A&M from the SEC Tournament, 77-37. The Aggies finished the year with a 10-19 overall record.

Baseball
The No. 14 Texas A&M baseball team welcomes New Mexico State to Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park for its final non-conference weekend series, starting Friday night at 6 p.m. Game two of the series is slated for Saturday at 2 p.m., while the finale is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

Softball
The No. 4 Texas A&M softball team (20-2) is set to host No. 3 Florida on SEC Opening Weekend, marking the first-ever top-five showdown in Aggieland. First pitch for game one is slated for 6 p.m. on Friday at Davis Diamond.

Women’s Tennis
The No. 3 Texas A&M women’s tennis team battles No. 6 Auburn and Florida over the weekend to start a four-match road stint.

Men’s Tennis
The No. 15 Texas A&M men’s tennis team tamed the Auburn Tigers 5-2, at the Mitchell Tennis Center on Thursday.

Men’s Golf
The Texas A&M men’s golf team moved up three spots on the leaderboard Tuesday to finish tied for fifth at the Southern Highlands Collegiate.

The Aggies return to action next Monday at the Louisiana Classics, looking to win the tournament for the fourth consecutive season.

Women’s Golf
The Aggies return to the course at the Clover Cup March 10-12 in Litchfield Park, Arizona.

Equestrian
The Aggies return home to the Hildebrand Equine Complex on Saturday, March 8 at noon for Senior Day against No. 1 Auburn.
