They got a free education for not all that many hours work. Not that very many "student athletes" in college football took advantage of that and became doctors or lawyers or dentists or teachers, etc. Far from indentured servanthood (sic). Perhaps you meant indentured servitude?
So you miss the good old days when the majority of players became doctors, lawyers, dentists and teachers?
I bet the players are using their degrees in the same way they always have. Only now they get paid for the work they do at the actual value. Look at what that Tech guy said in that interview. He's saying there are a LOT of 4-5 star guys who are actually being UNDERPAID in the current system and they are going to go after them.
