Boo hoo. What do we do.

After Georgia gives horn a colonoscopy this week, I think that reverses.

My predictions are Bama beats OU but in an ugly fashion. Georgia toys with sips like a cat with a mouse in the first half, then just wails on them in the second half. Arch leaves the game before it ends to tend to his bruised coccyx from being pile driven onto his butt, repeatedly. Instead of concussion protocol, he'll be on butt protocol.

He'll try to start at home against the Hogs but easily pull a hammy because his footwork will be hampered.

I love it when you talk dirty.

I don't. They haven't earned the right to be favorites.

Unless they destroy Georgia, and we get whipped by South Carolina, they won't be

We're going to learn a lot after Saturday. SEC really wants 5 teams in the playoffs. Alabama, A&M, Ole Miss, and Georgia have all solidified their spots. Texas is the only other real chance the SEC has a a 3-loss (or especially 4-loss) team isn't getting in, even if it is the sips. If there is some creative officiating this weekend to give the sips the win, Ags better be prepared for the same at Thanksgiving. In a fair head-to-head matchup, Ags are just the better team. If both teams bring their A game and the officiating is fair, Ags should win.

The excuses for tu will be great and many because the powers that be all but need them to be successful. It's pathetic but true.

I'm impressed with all the confidence this board has that Georgia and A&M are going to beat Texas and that Arkansas will give them a game. I'm just not sure. Maybe it's my BAS, but I really think the SEC will get involved and have no problems hosing the Dawgs and Ags to get the sips in the playoffs, even though they should lose to both.

They are using their dumb FPI in the calculation.

Would be interesting if someone (not me) were able to review correlation between winner probability and actual winner. My guess is that anything between 30-70% is pretty much a toss-up...

My favorite thing is how ESPN openly contradicts themselves. Their own sportsbook has the aggies favored by 2.5 and the "matchup predictor" right next to it shows Texas is favored.

At the beginning of the season, ESPN had the sips at 85% beating the Ags as well as ND, LSU, Mizzou, and SC.

I have always been perplexed as to why the MSM is so in love with a team that has done so little with so much.

Even Ohio State does not get the MSM love that the sips receive and they have earned it.

Not exactly what you asked, but last season FPI was 70% accurate at predicting winners: https://www.thepredictiontracker.com/ncaaresults.php?orderby=wpct%20desc&type=1&year=24

What?

If we're well prepared and play with maximum effort, they are not a better team, it won't be close.

Well, we did separate both of Ty's shoulders in our beat down of BYU.

The Detmer family, which are originally from San Antonio, hates the Aggies with a passion.

Here is why we beat the sips:
They are still searching for an identity,,but we know who we are. Trick plays keep it close in the beginning, we dominate after. The prophecy.has been spoken! Beat the hell! Saw'em F'en Off!

If we play with maximum effort, we win. We're the better team this year. (I won't even factor in officiating)

I wonder how much the predictor metric takes into account the difficulty and rarity of winning 12 games in a row. Basically it is so uncommon that there is always a slightly higher chance the team loses the next game -- unless they are legit blowing every team out which the Aggies have not done.

So given that combined with road game against a very highly rated team, it makes some sense for Texas to be favored.

If you flip a coin a thousand times and it comes up heads every time, the odds of it coming up tails the next flip is 50%.

But flipping a coin in that adage is has no variables that can affect those 2 possible outcomes.

It is not truly applicable to the psychology of players/teams and sports.
