As long as they can play, rain might be to our advantage if it helps take the lsu fans out of game.

Talk about overreaction!
The game can't be moved up without LSU's consent, and I highly doubt that they going to agree to move the game to 11 am merely because there is a chance of rain. This isn't a hurricane.

Assuming that decision is made by a combination of the athletic departments, field crews and SEC league office
Seems like a real chance the game gets moved to next week since both teams are on bye
Has that ever even happened. Extremely unlikely.
It's not supposed to be a thunderstorm. The game can be played in the rain.
In an SEC game. Doubtful.
But we did move the A&M-La Tech game in 2012 back several weeks because of a hurricane

It's not a hurricane or tropical storm. It's not going to be 12 solid hours of rain.

It has NOTHING to do with rain.
How hard is this to understand?
i can't believe there are people who STILL TO THIS DAY can't let go of this what if scenario.TX AG 88 said:
And I believe it cost us a natty. Had JFF had a game (that we win) prior to Florida, we would have beaten them. We finish with one loss to LSU, and at the end of the season we were rolling over anyone we would have played.

How do you know?
May not be, but you only need something like 3 or 4 hours of it for them to reschedule the game

And as I recall, Bama had a key starter (RB maybe?) injured and not able to play on the original scheduled date who was healthy on the re-scheduled date. And the weather on the original date was sunny enough for girls to be sunbathing outside The Commons.
I think it was their starting QB ... and the weather was quite nice that day, lol. In the makeup game in December we were without Bucky who had been injured in the Texas game.
Internet says you're right - it was their starting QB David Smith. Also says there was 0.00 inches of rain on Sep. 17, 1988 (the original date) and a high of 96 degrees.

LSU folks aren't discussing moving game time at all.

It may have already been posted but if the game simply can't be played because of T-Storms both teams share the same bye week next week. That does leave a window for a reschedule if need be, but like others have pointed out rescheduling this late won't happen. Only way it happens is if they simply just can not get on the field Saturday due to T storms. It's still a logistical headache to the schools, community, and fans to cancel the game then reschedule it the next week.

I don't know about that. The crowd could be completely giddy and going wild over the first shower most of them have had in months. All lathered up in the stands and grinning, missing teeth and all.

I'm sure we'd be happy to host if they're not up to it

forecasts I'm seeing don't look so bad now. But that's just AccuWeather hourly stuff and maybe that's crap.
