latest weather forecast looks better, it has the heavy rain waiting until the morning to come in

The heavy rain is where the lightning will be.

Forecast I have seen for Saturday night is heavy thunderstorms and possible tornados (probably means clear skies and 70 degrees - ha!).
Aggie Band supposedly briefed that game time could be changed, for what that is worth.
Would be somewhat easy for ABC to just swap our game for 11 am Ole Miss-Oklahoma you would think, but maybe not.
Maybe LSU will just decide to forfeit due to weather. Coach Bill Curry refused to bring Alabama to College Station for a September game due to threat of a hurricane in late 80s. Weather turned out nice and I don't think the game was ever made up.
It was made up later (perhaps early December). My first Aggie game.

Yes it was....called hurricane bowl and we lost in the make up game. Everyone essentially came in for free and they would let us come and go...these were the days could go out at half time to rejoin tailgate with goofy in/out ticket or run to liquor store to get a 5th and come back to the game. All in all...fun day despite the loss.

Believe Bama game that year was later same year and we got killed
1988 ... the makeup game in December was dubbed the Hurricane Bowl
A buddy of mine had a shirt for that game. It was a picture of a box of Tide detergent with the line, "Can't get the yellow out!"
Whoever made those got a cease and desist PDQ but had already sold a bunch of shirts.

Assuming that decision is made by a combination of the athletic departments, field crews and SEC league office
Seems like a real chance the game gets moved to next week since both teams are on bye
Has that ever even happened. Extremely unlikely.
It's not supposed to be a thunderstorm. The game can be played in the rain.
In an SEC game. Doubtful.
But we did move the A&M-La Tech game in 2012 back several weeks because of a hurricane
And I believe it cost us a natty. Had JFF had a game (that we win) prior to Florida, we would have beaten them. We finish with one loss to LSU, and at the end of the season we were rolling over anyone we would have played.

LaTech was scheduled after Florida game. So no it didn't.
no way they cancel a game of this magnitude.northeastag said:rab79 said:

I see that. But it also shows another round of thunderstorms arriving just about game time. And projected to last through the night.
Gonna be tough to get this one in.
but if they play it, weather may favor us. Our D against the run is pretty decent (excluding the Arky game), and we have a nice sable of backs and a mobile QB to wear them out.

For every lightning strike within 8 miles of the stadium = 30 minute delay
im also trying to keep hope. My biggest wish was to see a night game in Death Valley, would hate to leave this crappy place without seeing a game lol.Aggie Dad 26 said:BraxtonW said:no way they cancel a game of this magnitude.northeastag said:rab79 said:
