As much as I'd like that to happen, Georgia might have problems if they can't put pressure on Manning. That was Vandys problem. If you let Manning stand in the pocket, he is capable of picking you apart. And Georgia is one of the worst teams in the country in sacks and tackles for loss. #132 in sacks and #135 in tackles for loss. That's horrendous. And their pass D at #65 isn't great.

Arch is inaccurate, and the only thing he has to compensate for his lack of an arm at present, is quality athletes to throw to.

Georgia will make him pay with INT's if he starts under or overthrowing receivers.

The last game sip played showed arch mostly making screen passes etc. untill they realized vandys defense was non existent...despite that sip escaped that game, and their luck will run out against Georgia.

Wrong. Vandy didn't have the athletes to match up with sip skill guys. Arch might as well been throwing against air that game. Georgia doesn't have that problem. It will help if they get to Arch, but it isnt the end all, be all. Take away screens and Texas is mediocre at best.

Edit - Nevermind - they have the ranking then the bracket.
#12 OU and #11 Texas wouldn't make the playoff because of ACC and G5 bids

Not true, they are not making it in at 9-3 no matter how bad the media wants it.

I would hope that is the case but I think if they beat either Georgia at Georgia or A&M at home, that is gonna help them a lot to have a top 5 win. Also, they have played Ohio State the closest of anyone this year and that was at Ohio State. The committee might look at that favorably. Winning 1 of georgia or A&M might be the excuse the committee needs to get them in...

Not going to happen, the loss to Florida will hold them back. There are going to be too many 10 win teams that won't get left out for 9-3 Texas

This is the deal. Georgia is gonna have to find a way to make 16 uncomfortable. Fortunately, they have much better athletes on the perimeter to make tackles than Vanderbilt. Something like 160 of Arch's yards and 2(?) TDs came on throws at or behind the LOS in that game. It is yet to be seen what he is really capable of if you make him go get it vs just letting him throw to the sidelines.

Strange that their own Playoff Predictor has TTU at 51% chance but OK at 36%. tu at 54% but Vandy at 30%.

Wins over a playoff team and 2 teams in the playoff discussion plus 2 of their 3 losses to playoff teams/conference championship teams is going to give them a strong resume. Feel like committee would likely take them over a 2 loss ACC/Big 12 championship loser with much worse efficiency/strength of record metrics. I even think they would get in over a potential 10-2 Ole Miss or 10-2 Vandy.
