I would hope that is the case but I think if they beat either Georgia at Georgia or A&M at home, that is gonna help them a lot to have a top 5 win. Also, they have played Ohio State the closest of anyone this year and that was at Ohio State. The committee might look at that favorably. Winning 1 of georgia or A&M might be the excuse the committee needs to get them in...

Not going to happen, the loss to Florida will hold them back. There are going to be too many 10 win teams that won't get left out for 9-3 Texas

they also have a win vs then #9 Vanderbilt and #6 Oklahoma. add a top 5 win vs A&M and Georgia and it just might be enough for the committee to gift them a spot...but obviously I hope your reasoning is the one the committee uses..
