Is this the game where the inflection point happens on BAS?

If we win Texas 8&4 is over and 10-2 (and the playoffs) is basically guaranteed

Conversely, if we lose were basically right back to last year where we have everything in front of us in November, but cant win a damn game to save our lives.

Yes, BAS returns immediately after our loss mizzou. Actually if u are a real Aggie football fan.... it's to late. BAS is part of the DNA. Too much damage has been done

There is no line in the sand for those of you BAS types who want to suffer. We'll finally win our natty, and you're still going to be upset about something.

For me it's simple. Choose to believe. My belief is affirmed by their performance this year. It feels different. Different team, different attitude and resolve.

My BAS says that at 10-2 with a loss to 10-2 tu we get left out….

So a win this weekend AND Georgia ending the horn's season will be required to put the worries to bed

The CFP did US a favor. We have the most difficult SOS and are rewarded with #3 ranking. Expect the Ags to come play fired up with something to prove.
Class of 94. We never lost at Kyle Field!

I think you meant "worst case scenario" 10-2...

I think that if we win Saturday, that 12-0 is more likely than 10-2...

BAS is a joke that was thought up here, people thought it was funny & ran with it.

It does describe a handful of losers though.

Anyone who can't enjoy sports, regardless of the outcome needs their access to the internet cut off. Nobody wants that kind of attitude around; they make the wins less enjoyable & the losses even worse than they should be.

Wins should be celebrated, and are still learning opportunities.
Losses should be hated, but are absolutely great learning opportunities.

Hate to tell you Georgia probably coughs it up and ramps up the hype

But don't worry, Arkansas scorches Texas to become their bad L and drops them from consideration.

There is no cure for individuals who are infected with BAS. This team has been excellent symptom relief for them. Unfortunately, their winning has caused side effects such as addiction, unrealistic expectations, increased paranoia, gout and anal bleeds. If you or someone you know has been infected with BAS, contact your local pastor and read them their last rights because they are already dead inside.

Back to back years with playoff wins might do it for me.

Otherwise it could just be a 1 year flash in the pan.

We're gonna lose a lot of players off this years team, so next year we'll see a bunch of new faces getting critical minutes.
We're nowhere near the perennial power program we wanna be. Yet.

BAS doesn't mean you can't or don't enjoy wins, or are miserable all the time.

That being said, you dumbasses are going to jinx us if you keep talking about it.

This.

I may breathe a sigh of relief in private if the Ags win out beating Texas to finish the regular season.

I think we finish the regular season at 11-1, but 10-2 and a playoff berth will still be acceptable to me.

BAS is real but certainly temporary. After watching the Ags for 45 years, it is easily explainable. For those of us olds, since Sherrill, we have see status quo, ineptness, dishonesty, swag with no substance, and a snake oil salesman. We've had a few good seasons but nothing sustainable. Regardless, these olds, along with the younger Ags, have consistently supported the team and the University.

I think we have the first coach since Sherrill buy into what being an Aggie is and embrace it. Elko has an opportunity to do something really special and sustainable here. Keep building and this will be very special for potentially years.

We've been waiting for a coach to build a special program for a special university. I think Elko may be the guy.

RC was a good coach that capitalized on what Sherrill built. He protected it by not tearing it down but he didn't continue the upwards trajectory that Sherrill was on. He's a good coach but far from a builder.

As an example: He downsized the 12th man kickoff team to one man. He played it safe.
