I think your problem with the whole plan is that the committee will be watching the game.

If you completely ignore the championship game, I wouldn't be shocked if they roll you all the way down to 9 to send you on the road in week 1.

A competitive loss would keep A&M at 4th, IMO, but laying down for a "rest" week? They'd punish us.

and if we dont win it all, the narrative is (take your pick):

-Aggies 10+ wins and nothing to show for it

-Aggies no conf championship since 1998

- Aggies replace November with December
