Their arrogance dictates that they view us as their "little brother" as a way to make themselves feel superior
I think the 77-37-5 advantage head to head and the 4-1 national title lead is why they do that.

Yep, and most of those wins for sip happened when Texas A&M was a small all male military "Citidel" of Texas from the 1890's through the 60's whooohooo!! Pat yourself on the back.
The head to head record since the modern age of college football in the 70's with tv money contracts and A&M exponentially growing as a coed non reg University…is basically even depending which year you look at. We have 3 national titles against your 3.
So using your logic, sip is OU's little brother right? They have 7 national titles.

Question for you.
1. Win the NC but lose to Texas
2. Beat Texas but do not win the NC.
You can decide the W-L for each game for both cases.
Which would you pick?

Grew up as child in Austin with Aggie parents many moons ago. You have no idea the arrogance and loud mouths I had to put up with, constant teasing with "poor Aggies" chanted daily during football season. Ugh, terrible sports to the point I have no desire to go to Austin for football games with A&M playing. Love my Ags and PLZ beat the hell out of tu!!!
Yep. Their entire identity and self worth is dependent on how they do compared to us. Thats why they love to throw out the "little brother" comments and condescend every chance they get. In their pathetic minds, they are the good guys and we are not.

Either way, it is stupid to stay caught in the dogmas of the past. Who cares about Texas? We are Texas A&M. Let's do our best.
Rivalries are literally one of the best parts of college football.
100% agree.
But when a healthy fun rivalry becomes an obsession, that is when it becomes a problem. Some of us are in that zone.
I want to beat Texas too. But I want the NC more.

One thing is that no matter how much we can't stand them, they just aren't that into us. They care more about OU. They are that girl who ghosted us and we just. can't. get. over. it.

Yes, that's exactly right, 7 is a lot more than 3 or 4. If we're not judging by # of national titles, I'm not really sure what other barometer of success there is.
What year did we start saying we won the 1927 national championship in? First time I've heard that.

Just curious, what is the empirical evidence that younger people don't hate as much as older people? Have murder and physical assault rates between Longhorn and Aggie fans been trending down? Somebody had an Aggie nephew who wasn't a hater and extrapolated that data point to thousands of people?
Or are younger people just more busy in school and work than retirees and don't have as much time to spend on hating?

BS. You posted this on an earlier thread sippy...
You're adorable. Class '82 here. I'm an Aggie. My dad was '52, father in law '54, wife '82, son '12.
You t-shirt sips that live on this site, posing as Aggies are really weird people. Seriously, it's not normal.

Youre pitching a false dichotomy. If we want an sec title we have to beat the sips. A team capable of winning a national championship will house the sips.
We are talking NC versus Beating Texas. Not SEC.
Question for you.
1. Win the NC but lose to Texas
2. Beat Texas but do not win the NC.
You can decide the W-L for each game for both cases.

Like i said, false dichotomy. If we dont beat this texas team we're not winning a national title. So beat them. Amd then win the next one too.
No it is not false dichotomy. You just don't want to answer the question.
Your answer likely is "I want to beat Texas" but you don't want to come out and admit it.
Go ahead. Don't be scared. I have people throwing stones at me here all the time. It is no big deal.
If you knew ball youd know the best path to the championship is favorable ceding. Beating texas and winning the sec is all we can control, but could realistically result in being #1. Thats the best odds of winning the natty.
I want to beat texas with every fiber of my being and i question why you dont? Youve been telling everyone how much you love texas all day.
My friend, it is a simple question that I asked. And you are arguing with me.
1. Win the NC but lose to Texas
2. Beat Texas but do not win the NC.
Can you just answer it? If you don't want to that is fine. Just say so.
I pick (1) without a doubt. I want to beat Texas but I love A&M more than I hate Texas so I want to win the NC more than beat Texas.
You should really look up the definition of false dichotomy . Beating texas does not make us less likely to win a natty. What are you even talking about?

Their university's official response to the bonfire tragedy was appreciated. However, I was at the game in Austin the year after. I recall hearing all kinds of nasty remarks regarding bonfire and large groups of texas fans wearing shirts depicting the fallen bonfire with the words "What's the matter Aggies? Can't keep it up?"
In my mind, that erased any goodwill they earned and firmly cemented my hate for their fanbase.

We hate the sips but yalls hate borders on obsession. I want to play the season to win a national championship. Yall seem like you want to play the season to beat Texas. That mentality is why we've sucked forever.
You people who are always racing here to complain about sip threads and act above it all are the absolute weirdest.
They're our oldest, biggest rival, in the same state, in the same conference, and we play them THIS WEEK.

Any old Ag was glad to see us leave the sips to wallow in the Big XII when we left for the SEC. Young Ags couldnt wait to play them again.

And THIS WEEK it's fine to be all over their jock.
It's the other 51 weeks of the year, the perpetual horns down crap, the constant dick measuring, etc. that is why Aggie jokes exist and why those burnt orange homos think we are obsessed with them.
You know, the tried and true "as long as we beat tu it's a successful season!" mentality that without a doubt, 100%, kept us mired in the mud as a program for decades. The last 12 years have been glorious IMO of not having them on the schedule and there were optimistic signs at one point that Aggies actually looked more at how Texas A&M could succeed as a program versus how we could find some stupid obscure way to one up them in some form or fashion.
