Root for LSU, Washington, and/or Auburn this weekend if you want a home game. The metrics for OU are strong enough that I could see us in 9th if it falls chalk with H2H over Notre Dame, we won't fall below them.

Unfortunately, the metrics the committee uses are very bad for us. We have 1 top 25 W, low SOS(their method sucks), and pedestrian GS(game control/score).

Don't see scenarios where we'd play OU, unless Alabama jumped us by winning the SEC title and we play OU as a 8-9 matchup. Doesn't align with the seeding otherwise.

They don't care enough about us to hate us. The reason we don't get extra love is that we haven't earned anything. We won't get dropped because of some grand conspiracy. We'll get slotted in where we deserve to be. If it's a close call, we'll lose out to a name brand school, it otherwise we'll get what we deserve.

A lot of people are having to take time to adjust to this new NFL-like world. The players are professionals, the play-offs are expanded, and the traditional rivalry games matter more in how they affect the playoffs than anything else. Beating t.u. always matters, but it's a part of bigger things for both teams. It never made sense for the reward for beating t.u. tonight to be a non-playoff extra game against a top 10 team next week. Being healthy for the playoffs is the big picture. I know this is going to be really hard for people in this new era, but that's how it is now. Finally, it's inevitable that this thing will be expanded to 16, because I don't wanna see big non-conference games go away, and we all know that Vandy, t.u., and Miami belong in the field.
