This. It was a 30 yard field possession changer. For them to not even show a replay? How could it be an illegal block when we were the kicking team.

Theyve been very noticeable with both selective announcing and choosing what to play or not play on TV this year. I can never recall it being this bad. Im not even talking about Aggie games either
When they made the announcement did they state the offending players #?
They even said return team when called. Hard not to mean return team

They didn't show it on TV. I noticed when they announced it was on the receiving team that they pointed at us.
Even if that call had gone our way, we'd have surrendered the extra 30 yards in two or three plays. The defense missed the entire 3rd quarter. Apparently stayed in the locker room doing bong hits.

I've never seen a block in the back on the kicking team. Just dumbfounded by that one. We'd probably give up a TD anyway.

The sips needed 15 yards, and they called a 15 yarder against them, so they simply picked up the flag and didnt explain giving 15 yards to the sips before the ball was snapped.

Yes, I'm quoting myself but they have been so delayed in showing replays of things this year until they review it and approve it after commercial breaks as well.
I'm not a fan of SEC refs

Based on the ref's signal it was supposed to be an illegal chop block. How in the world can that be a legitimate call against the kicking team?!

they didn't call a block in the back. They called a block below the waist. Still a weird call and somebody should have video. Fact that the TV dudes didn't isn't that surprising as the camera's. are focused on the punter and returner and less on some crap in the middle of the field. But surely someone got video somewhere.

This line really doesn't carry much weight when you consider that they're the only team in the SEC penalized more than we are.
They didn't show a replay. We don't know what happened. But our defense was complete garbage that entire quarter. I have no doubt we'd have still given up the TD if we'd gotten that call.
Not even defined on the play by play. Just says penalty on TX AM - TX AM 10 yards accepted. I would say bewildering but we all know what happened...Venmo alerts were received.

Other than that weird call, which wasn't explained and never shown on tv, I thought it was a pretty good game by the refs. Only two obvious bad non-calls, the non-call PI on the Ags, and the non-call intentional grounding on the sips. Both were egregious and should have been called, but they weren't.
The only other shadiness were some signs of disconcerting calls by the sips defense. The announcers even referred to it when the left side of our O-line jumped, and the announcers referred to some claps from the sips' defense, but no flags, and no replays to show anything.

Are there any replays available with alternate cameras? i.e. not the official broadcast but an overhead angle or something?
It should be really easy to spot something as odd and egregious as a chop block on the kicking team. If nothing can be discerned from that footage, an investigation should be launched into game fixing and those officials will have hell to pay.

Neither did the announcers. You're OK with a 15 yard penalty against Texas just being waived away as a mistake when it was really a 15 yard penalty against A&M, a 30 yard swing, with zero explanation?
I mean, that's what actually happened. I agree the Aggies didnt play as well as they should have, but what the hell is that?
Why is out kicking team even blocking people? Maybe Elko needs a conversation with the ST coach.
ESPN only has 11 or 12 cameras at these games. It's not like an NFL production where they catch everything.
Lot's of other cameras on the sidelines though and lots of smartphones in the stands.

Skycast was on the SEC Network I think
That penalty can be called on either team. I didn't see it either but the penalty was for someone going low on a kickoff, which neither the kicking nor receiving team can do.
