They won the 2000s because they recruited infinitely better. Reed & Klein get my reasons for why they won these last two years.

Call me a 2%er, I'm just tired of us talking our **** all year to be consistently outplayed. Rather not hear it given the pattern of the outcome.
we put too much stock in the game. if it's just another game we don't melt and let a team that needed OT to win against UK and State scare us away from dragging our nuts accross their face on 3rd and 2!
How much different would our game have been if you had an injured Arch who had to find a way to somehow overcome a sprain and power through it?

Because we hire coaches that have great 2nd seasons, don't consider any factors (Johnny who was recruited by the previous coach, soft 2025 SEC schedule) and sign them to dumb extensions.

Yes, we lost, but IMO a blowout in football has to be at least 17 points (more than two possessions)

I get what your saying, but also I think you can blowout a team/ run them out of a stadium by less. Maybe dominate is the better term. They dominated us last year and this year

Scholarships got regulated in the early 70's.
Leveled out a lot of things, nationally.
Since then:
- Head to head, close to even, they may have a 1 or 2 game edge now.
- Conference titles, they've got 11, we've got 8
- Nattys, they've got 1, we've got 0
Be pissed we lost.
But don't be a whiny *****

Since I began school in '95, after the decade of dominance, we have beat Texas only 5 out of now 19 tries.

I'm not cherry picking windows to avoid any one team's low spots, or to fit my own personal vantage point.
That early 70's regulating of scholarships was a big deal, so that's a logical line in the sand across the board, for everyone.
Otherwise, yeah, it's insanely lopsided. But that's not the only lopsided rivalry if you really wanna go back THAT far

Certainly helps that while they were wandering the badlands in a down cycle with Chollie and Mensa, going 0.500 and losing to Kansas, that we didn't play them at all.
Who else "owns" us? TxTech, because Leach had a good window there for a bit?

Pretty easy answer. We were outcoached and outplayed on both sides of the ball.
The University of Texas overall football record against A&M is 77-37-5.
This is why no matter what, don't say anything. Record or not this game has always been different. Very disappointing but always next year. Not like we wont ever play them again and that was it. Just need to keep moving forward and look at the championship that they dont even have a chance at. We will forever and always have more class and pump out better people than that obnoxious, gross, unsafe, and cowardly place they call a school.

This. People need to stop feeding this. Our football programs are basically even since Texas A&M became a fully co-ed University. Since 1975 and until the end of the game in 2011, it was dead even. These first two games in the SEC, they snuck away with the first two. They were simply better last year, this year, IMO, we had our let down game (play calling was bad, though players made a few mistakes).
