I'm extremely excited that we're hosting a playoff game.

That doesn't mean I can't call out that this is a bs time draw.

Any of you disagreeing or pretending it doesn't matter - when you have thought about A&M hosting a playoff game over the last week or so, how many of those musings involved sitting in the stands cheering for your team at 11:15am?

I'd guess none.

Doesn't mean I'm not super high on the team or super happy about the playoffs in general.

I'll be honest with you. If I lived in or near Texas, I wouldn't care what time a playoff game is and I would be there and be happy. Here is a bright side; when the Ags win, everybody gets to spend the rest of the day celebrating at Northgate!

Now, if the Ags do well enough to make the playoffs next year and get a short stick, I will probably be a little upset. But for me, the fact that the Ags are playing for a national championship for the first time in many of our lifetimes is absolutely amazing to me and they could play the game at 3am and I would do everything I could to be there.

Could it better? Sure, it could. But Elko has gotten the Ags to the playoffs in season 2. To me, this is amazing.

We've been screwed out of night games at home this year .. and on the road have been a magnet for them.. it's bs.

I'd much prefer a night game.

But when you see where the NFL games are scheduled, it is not "BS" for us to get the early game.


They are putting the stinkers up against the nFL. That leaves 11 and Friday night. Alabama in the better time a lot is an easy decision for TV execs

I went to the 11AM SMUrfs vs Miami game few weeks ago and Canes looked sleepy. Maybe early kick is better.

Guerentee if LSU was sitting at 7 and playing Miami this would absolutely be a night game.

Completely false. ESPN/ABC had Friday night and Sat morning. They picked 8/9 for Fri night and Our game for Sat morning. My guess is Bama was getting Friday night whether they were 9 or 10

No it wouldn't. The 11AM is the top game for Saturday. It's on both ABC and ESPN, where the others are on TNT/HBOMax and will be rivaled by the NFL games that day.

The cotton bowl is an early afternoon game too. Should we just figure out how to win these games. Playing our best football we can beat anybody. I'd rather play at 11 am at home vs Miami than a bowl named sponsored by Cheez its or dukes mayo.

6:30PM is early afternoon?

not crazy about the 1100 start time, but it can lead right in to the 6A state championships.

hopefully, I'll be tuning in to those games with a smile on my face.

Gonna be a quick exit if they can't overcome it all and pull their heads out and not play like USC and sip games or Miami will win by 3 scores

Not without the sports package. They stopped including all live sports. I got it for March Madness and the NBA playoffs, and can't see it anymore without upgrading.

Yes, the 11 am kickoff time sucks but if the players and the 12th Man can't get fired up for this game then we don't want it bad enough. Everyone should stop complaining about it, and start thinking about how loud and raucous we can be.

I'm not complaining about the time. Just an observation that we don't really seem to come out swinging in 11:00 home games.

Yep, if the team can't get pumped up about this game then I don't know what to say. Can't afford a South Carolina type start.
