I'm sure we all would love to have Moss back and bringing his A game, but if he isn't, I really hope we feature EJ/Morrow more than Owens. Miami's run D is solid, but one thing that stood out is their missed tackle rate (fourth worst out of all FBS teams). Need our power/shifty backs over the pure speed back who goes down if the wind blows too hard.

Moss
EJ
Owens or Daniels or Morrow


In that order. Owens is not the guy we want carrying our load.

Moss is the only one who's able to average more than 3 yards a carry, barring a broken play long run pulling another's average up.

EJ averaging almost 5 yards a carry, averaged almost 7 a carry vs Sip. Thats why it was mind blowing we kept sticking with Mr I Trip Over Air the entire game.

I'll never understand how the Texags brain trust talks themselves into believing that quality players such as Owens should be scoffed at and demoted. I see after the tu game that he always trips over grass…I've never in my life have seen a good back slip or go down due to a shoe string tackle. Owens is the only one. Don't get me wrong, I love Smith and how much he's improved and contributed. And Morrow is a very good young talent. But Owens has done a great job while Moss has been out and easily leads the team in yards and yards per carry in that time. Why don't y'all quit deriding him and concede the coaches know what their doing.

We should be throwing short passes to our backs and others. Miami's nature is to be over-aggressive at the line and blitzing. The short passing game will frustrate the Canes and force them if they adjust to drop back. The passing game will open up the run.
