He was the college football playoff committee chairman last season. Playoff committee not having a good run considering Baylor's AD stepped down this year due to off the field issues. Arkansas AD better take all his vacation days while he can.

It certainly wasn't criminal nor did it mess up the lives of others. Road rash and perhaps a minor ligament or bone injury and you're good.

That's the way I interpreted it...
A bump from $55K to 99k per year. I'm guessing 99 was just under some threshold that required further approval or signoff under state (or other) rules.

I think coach was a get the program past Harbaugh hire. Once that was suitably in the rear view mirror then you start looking to go other directions, and probably why his buyout was so low.
Of course then he went and beat Ohio last year (8-5) and went 9-3 this year. 8-4 with the Ohio loss he might have been bought out this year.
Much of this came from Josh Pate's show. I'm reposting it here, I don't disagree with that line of thinking.
