I have no doubt we'd made Tulane or JMU close games. JMU would've run for 400 yds.

we could have handled Tulane, JMU and I believe Alabama (or their host, Oklahoma).

Not being very good at football was the killer.

Because we were the ONLY opening round team that had to host a truly complete opponent that has the talent to win it all.
Miami could've defeated ANY of the other host teams - Oregon, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma.
Yes. We have our own issues - stopping the run and running the ball ourselves - that, like Bama's issues, would likely result in not progressing deep into the playoffs. BUT we could have handled Tulane, JMU and I believe Alabama (or their host, Oklahoma).
Miami may win the whole thing.

Had we beaten tu, we would have won our first game vs a top half SEC opponent.
Thats when the light bulb went off for the committee. Had tu not completely exposed us, we would have been the 5 seed and caught a break. But they did, they thrashed us up front on both sides and showed the committee just who we really were vs decent comp.
Committee was not going to hand us that after getting exposed.

Miami is trash. They're going to get skull stomped in their next game.

What did we do to prove we were more deserving the Ole Miss or Oregon?

Miami is an above average ACC team. Having Michael Irvin on the sideline doesn't change that.

He looks like he's back on crack.
