Losing to JMU or Tulane would have been peak Aggie. It fits the narritive too perfectly. The simulation would have allowed it and we'd be the brunt of every joke, even moreso than we already are.

The volleyball team just went through the most massive gauntlet you can imagine to win a National Championship.
I thought I read where no volleyball team had ever beaten 2 number 1 seeds in a single NCAA tournament ever.
These young ladies beat THREE NUMBER 1 SEEDS.....BEAT A 2 SEED....BEAT A 9 SEED...AND BEAT THE OTHER 1 SEED (t.u.) during regular season play.
No excuses. No BS.
It's the equivalent to beating Miami...then Ohio State...then Georgia....then Indiana...and telling them all to kiss our azzes.
So these ladies truly focused and pulled together even when things didn't go their way (lost to t.u in SEC tourney semis and fell behind 2 sets to 2-seed Louisville).
But these ladies fought through with FOCUS and GRIT.
AND NO EXCUSES!
The football team needs to absolutely learn a
A HUGE LESSON FROM THESE LADIES.
And which coach deserves the 11 million contract and extension?
Morrison or Elko...I will leave their resumes up to you to decide.
Football just got beat by a mediocre Miami team.
Volleyball HAMMERED THE TOP ECHELON TEAMS IN ALL OF THE UNITED STATES!!
These football players need to wake up and see what it takes to win a national title.
These ladies provided the PERFECT EXAMPLE.

Yes, we could have drilled a g5 that should not have been in the playoffs and then lost in the next round.

But even with all that if our defense doesn't give up the 56 yard run, we probably win. We ran a linebacker out of position on that play on 1st down. Made absolutely no sense! There are some fundamental flaws with our defensive concept.Elko noted it in his press conference, so hopefully some positive changes are made in the off-season.

If you can't beat Miami, you aren't going very far in the bracket.
