Probably, but still a huge upgrade for Auburn…

Bussy.. man I was so excited to get him. But honestly he has not produced. Sorry just facts.

Never was going to. Dominated a bunch of 2a kids in high school but he's not skilled enough to contribute significantly here

Not sure how he is as a teammate, or locker room interactions….but from what I see in games, the Leavitt kid from AzSt is solid when healthy.

He'll command big money though.
And I doubt we have the nerve to entertain it.

I would not expect Bussey to go anywhere.

Less concerned with who we lose to the portal than who we pick up. I would like to see 3 OL and 2 LBs.

Reed is good enough to dominate weaker defenses like the B12.

We should **** Texas and go back to the Big XII while they are WEAK!

At some point you have to stop the revolving door of QBs. This team is undefeated with Haynes King this year, but we gave up on him for the "better" Conner Weigman, who we also gave up on for the "better" Marcel Reed. Now y'all want to give up on Reed for the next "better" qb. Very few portal QBs are very good.

Absolutely ludicrous take. There is no way you actually believe this…King is still a walking turnover and a subpar passer.

Four of the current eight CFB teams finished in the top 5 portal last year. Elko and NIL need to make sure we are in the top 5 portal this year. Several positions need upgrades or replacements with OL being the most obvious.

Walking turnover? And subpar passer?
So I guess he's Marcel 1.0, since he's older?

We won with Mond since he was a game manager, the offense keyed off of our running game and Mond played within his talent in 2020. He couldn't throw accurately longer than 15 yards outside of the hash marks so we utilized the TE over the middle a lot that year. Worked well since the LBs had to stay in the box to prevent our rushing.

Reed seems like a good guy but he is undersized and has choked during several big games. He gets happy feet and throws off his back foot since he is afraid of getting hit.

Klein calls a very predictable game and Reed wasn't able to make basic throws. Been like this all season.

I am sure we lose at least one QB but not sure we take anyone in the portal.

Posted this earlier: I believe that we will lose Miles O'Neil to the portal.

Here is an "Early Look" for Possible QB Situations going into the 2026 season:

1. Marcel Reed 6'1'' 175 - Junior (RS) - Here in 2026.
- Starting QB for 2026

2. Miles O'Neill 6'5" 220 - Sophomore (RS) - Here in 2026 or Possible Portal Entry
- Possible QB #2 in 2026, if Brady Hart does not advance to QB #2 in 2026

3. Brady Hart 6'4" 195 - Freshman (RS) - Here in 2026
- Possible QB #2 in 2026 - Starting QB in 2027 / 2028

4. Helman Casuga 6'1" 220
- True Freshman - Will RS as a QB in 2026 - Will enroll in classes in January 2026.
- Possible starting QB in 2028 / 2029

5. Eli Marcos 6'1" 205 - Freshman (RS) - Probable Scout Team QB - Here in 2026
6. Paxton Land 6'4" 225 - Sophomore (RS) - Probable Scout Team QB - Here in 2026

We carried 6 QB's on the roster in 2025 and probably will do the same in 2026.
So in order for us to pick up a portal QB - We would need to lose one to the portal.

I do not think we will see 4star QBs sitting the bench for 2-3 years. Unless they are getting paid like a Manning, they will jump ship if there is "buzz" around them.

QB carousel will be madening until the wild west is tamed.

King has had 70%+ completion percentages the last two seasons and only seven interceptions. Reed had six interceptions in his last three real games

Does being in the portal mean a player is gone now?

If we don't want them, then yes. If we fight to keep them, it's possible to get them back.

But in general, most enter after having their meeting. Meaning, for one reason or another, they weren't seeing eye to eye. Playing time, money, whatever. Most who enter are gone. Every now and then you get a Chase Bisontis who you fight to keep. But rare.

Jordan Pride entered the portal but that was expected. Anderson will probably follow too as well.

No reason for Anderson to portal that I can see. It'd be nice if York hit the portal along with Owens and Nabou.

Nabou? Seriously? No thanks.

Development matters. Nabou is one of only two experienced OL we will have on next years roster pre-portal additions. He is also coming off major injury. I can't tell you how many times you see a player look 10x better their second year removed from that injury.

He was solid in 2023 before the injury as a RFR. He was solid much of this year but did have some struggles at times. Zero reason to think he can't be a good or even very good player in 2026.

If he entered the portal, he'd probably be a top 5-10 portal OL. No way we want to lose him. Our staff would fight like hell to keep him.

Any elite OC with more experience would have game planned and won the Miami game (and possibly tu game) with A&M's existing roster.

If Marcel for example transferred to Lsu he would get better coaching, be utilized to strengths, and schemed to mitigate weaknesses. The only challenge would be keeping him healthy for the entire season. I don't fault our staff for managing the games the way they did from 1-12, but not learning anything and then forcing Marcel to operate in a box for entirety of game 13 was inexcusable. The players should be more upset than the fans.

Speed option and zone read w/Bussey and Morrow at tailback is what we should have been practicing for the last 3-weeks leading up to Miami game. No universe do we lose "that" particular game with more offensive creativity.

If Wiggins can articulate a compelling strategy for the future and convey to all the players (offense and defense) and their families, then we will retain the right talent.

He threw 5 ints all year. Thats fewer than Mendoza and Sayin.

He completed >70% of his passes. Has A&M ever had a QB do that?

He also ran for almost 1000 yards.

He also lost them critical games down the stretch with backbreaking turnovers…You know that neither you, I, or any other Ag owe him anything for being on the roster here for a cup of coffee, right? The kid just isn't good. It's ok to say it.

O'Neill for sure

He will be starting somewhere else next year as per other Qbs texags didn't want. His passing is a helluva lot sharper and accurate Than Reed.

Are we afraid to try for Mestemaker?
