We have a very nice stadium and great fans. But modern offenses aren't affected by either. I've now, very recently, watched ND, Texas, and Miami play totally unaffected by Kyle Field. That said, back in the day I watched teams unable to get a snap off because it was so loud. Things have changed, but most won't acknowledge it.

ND scored 23, tu 17, and Miami 10 in the games you referenced. All well below their season averages. Nothing the crowd can do to make the offense score at home. I get that you are pissed we lost those games, but claiming there isn't a home field advantage is just being contrarian.

The crowd was rocking, but it can only do so much when the team just isn't that good.

11-2 is good though. By any standard.

Here's the best answer. If we win, heck yeah we were an advantage and helped the team win. No doubt about it, 100% we affected the game.

If we lose, it's on the team and we had nothing to do with it. We take 0% responsibility.

Do Yell Leaders really have any impact on the outcome of the game?

That we're a pretty good team says nothing about the crowd influencing the outcome. Sorry sunshine, but I was there. The crowd had no impact.

maybe the crowd is why we lost by 7 and not by 20.

we definitely do not have a crowd or environment issue.

Its like trying to prove a negative. How much worse wpuld we be without it? Would we win the SC game without it? I doubt it. The 12th Man had to add to their pucker factor.

I ran this through my stat simulator 1,000 times with crowd noise, 1,000 times without crowd noise all against a playoff team. The result was 2,000 losses when we scored only 3 points.

Call me crazy but, do we (12th man) really make it a home field advantage? Pat and all the other pundits talks us up for our environment, but when you look at it we lose at home. Miami this year, SC nearly had it, we lost to tu last year, hell even App St beat us years back. I could go on but i think yall get it... i just don't think teams fear playing in Kyle field like we're led to believe.

... Us pissing down our leg doesn't help either but that's another topic.

Not going to call you crazy but will ask, have you been to any other college games? I have, a bunch of them. Kyle field is different. Has been since my first games in the 80's and still is to this day. Absolutely a home field advantage and not just on gameday.

When the crowd and the environment starts throwing 5 yard check downs into the dirt at the running back's feet, then the 12th man will be to blame.

This is just d--b, sorry. When you say "most won't acknowledge" do you mean the Vegas books? You should probably be the one to call and tell them. Good grief.

ETA: I hate calling people d--b so I dumbed it down. Apologies.

I saw Ags with pre snap penalty, i did not see Miami have one.

I still think our advantage is there but not like it was back in the 90s, etc.

Cool flex on being on the game. I was there too big guy.

Being at home isn't some magic elixir that's going to make the other team crap down their leg. Can the crowd be loud and the other team not jump offside repeatedly? Of course, it's not mutually exclusive.

Let guess the teams you think have home field advantage. LSU? Yeah they are pretty tough to beat at home when Burrow, Chase, and Jefferson are running around. Not so tough to beat when they suck and we clear their stadium out. How about UGA that had a multiple year home winning streak coming into this year? I've been to their stadium several times and it's not close to the same sustained noise level as Kyle Field. Want to know why they have a home field advantage? Maybe it's the 10 draft picks they have running around every year.

Some of you have an inflated idea of what Kyle Field once was. Did we win a lot in Kyle in the 80's and 90's. Of course, and how many times did other SWC teams come in with better teams? Hardly ever.

The 12th man makes a difference by helping to cause delays of game calls, and maybe even when the qb calls an audio. Maybe even in making a kicker nervous. Either way, the 12th man is the greatest fan base in college football!

We are significantly better overall at home than on the road over the years. Not every single time, but overall. there's a pretty strong correlation to our best upsets and overall win percentage at home versus on the road.

Also, look at our defensive stats at home versus on the road.

Unfortunately, massive fan support, crowd noise, yells, and ESPN Gameday do not make your QB suddenly become more accurate.
