Difference is A&M got zero love from the committee while tech was the wonderboy

So I guess 1/2 but still, tech at 4 was always ridiculous.

tech deserves the benefit of both of those considerations.

Sure, we scored 3 points. We also lost by one score in a game that was tied late into the fourth where we had a chance to tie at the end. We also gained more yards in our game against Miami than Tech or Oregon did today. We failed to capitalize on drives and struggled in ways, but losing 10-3 is not all that comparable to losing 23-0 in a game where Tech never looked like they belonged on the same field as Oregon.

A big part of the issue with first round bye teams losing is that most of them have been extremely overrated.
- Boise St. - had no business getting a bye.
- Arizona St. - had no business getting a bye.
- UGA - got the bye, but was playing a backup QB.
- OSU - this year they really had no quality wins other than Texas...if that game were played later in the year, Arch may have beat them.
- Tech - this year had absolutely no business being top 4. They did not beat a single team that was worth a damn.

We lost a one-score game. They just lost by 23 and were never remotely competitive.

I get being disappointed, but these outcomes are completely different and it is easier to feel a bit better about the Miami game after they just beat OSU.

Teams need a combo of overall team good health,good coaching, dedicated athletes and Lady Luck to win these days.

…….and yet the harpoons that are thrown make it sound like a 5th grader would know better.

I could care less about TT, but to call them frauds is embarrassing to see.

Tech is a fraud. The big 12 is an even bigger fraud. The media hacks pushing the big 12 as a "Power" conference are the biggest frauds.

They haven't played a team with a pulse all year.

They are a good 2A high school team trying to claim they are the best team in the state.

Not really. Played one decent offense and got smoked 23-0, and could have been worse. Legit D doesn't give up that many points to an Oregon offense that is pedestrian compared to their recent history.

Texas Tech has 4 wins against 10+ win teams: 2 wins against 12-2 (8-1 Big 12) BYU by a combined score of 63-14, 34-10 road win at 11-2 (7-2 Big 12), and 35-11 road win at 10-3 (6-3 Big 12) Houston. All of these wins were by 22+ points each, but they only beat one other bowl eligible team: 43-20 road win at 6-6 (5-4 Big 12) Kansas State. Their 4 other conference wins were against 5-7 (3-6 Big 12) Kansas, 1-11 (0-9 Big 12) Oklahoma State, 5-7 (2-7 Big 12) UCF, and 4-8 (2-7 Big 12) West Virginia.

Oregon allowed 34 points to James Madison, including 28 in the second half, but they shutout Texas Tech. Texas Tech's defense kept them in the game until Oregon pulled away in the 4th quarter. In contrast, we competed with Miami and did not allow a touchdown until 1:44 left in the game.

Maybe if those *****s hadn't been talking so much ****, but they got abused if Oregon had snapped it ok it would've been 45-0. In the sec they'd been 8-4 maybe
