everyone has some positive rumor stuff post visit. On the radio yesterday Billy and Ryan said everyone feels good for a different reason and it didn't sound like there was any definite leanings one way or another they could tell. This could just be the "free" version though which is fair.

I am just reporting what I heard. Here it is in bullets...

  • Coleman was in Lubbock yesterday
  • He met with coaching staff, Sorsby, Campbell, and Pat Mahomes
  • He had a very good visit but the meeting ended with Coleman requesting a certain figure. I do not know how much but I do know that it is high.
  • After the meeting, tt and Campbell met and came up with a plan.
  • Campbell texted to someone I know, could possibly be a family member <wink wink> Contact asked, "Is it a done deal?" Campbell, "Not yet, we needed to discuss further. We just discussed and the deal will be done shortly."
  • There is a rule, I am not aware of it, something about having to wait 24 hours after a visit to sign. Seems dumb, but that was stated. 24 hours would be today.
Could all this be wrong? Yes. However, I have no reason to doubt the information provided.

Your last bullet makes me think the whole thing is made up. Lots of transfer portal commits take place at the conclusion of the visits. That is why you want transfers to visit your school first, so that you can lock them down before they get off your campus and go to the next school.

That's because there is no rule for either transfer or HS recruits to wait 24 hours after visiting to sign.

I heard he did leave yesterday and wasn't thrilled with Tech but it was coming from a source I'm not super familiar with.

Howell was trash talking the fill in first time true freshman starter on the left side that game because the starter was injured. Wondering if you even watched a game this year...

LSU's o line who transferred to us are good players who had terrible coaching, they were all top recruits out of HS. Sure they may not be in their best form rn, but we're banking on their potential and our coaching. No reason to be upset at that, top tier SEC potential sounds good to me.

So true, Cam is a great talent but $4 mil is ridiculous. I'd rather lose out on him and go after "smaller market" transfers like we did with Concepcion and Craver, all at the same time spending way less money, so we can continue to grow the rest of the team. If Cam wants to win, it's us or Texas realistically. I bet he's just deciding on $2 million and a good team or $4 million and a first round exit.
