Reed was playing just fine but after he tweaked his leg in the first half, Klein totally abandoned the QB run.
Reed did press in the 4th quarter when we fell behind. He forced throws in tight coverage. He should not have done that but there was also no one open.
We did not lose the game bc of just Reed as continually keep spouting.
We should have been up 13-3 at half but of course the field goal circus that was present ALL season but us again. This also affected the second half bc Elko abandoned kicking them.
Texas pretty much did nothing the entire 1st half but Arch broke a couple of runs on pass drop backs and we overreacted to it clearly during half time adjustments bc it opened up others areas in the 2nd half bc players were focused on Arch running the ball and our pass rush went to crap.
Coaches are the primary reason we lost this one. Failure on not solving our kicking issues ALL season. And over-coaching by removing Reed's running ability and bad defensive adjustments.
Dude, your Reed defending is laughable.
You can't run him much anyway unless you wanna send him to the injury tent. He's not built for it, and he still can't comprehend when to hit the deck.
He make better decisions, he takes what the D gives, we get more first downs, and it changes the dynamic.
Pivotal possession, 3rd and 2, good call, open guys by design on short routes….but he goes for the bomb to KC, and overthrows bad? And you wanna pin that on Klein?
He played pretty well most of the season. Mostly. Gets tunnel vision with #7 sometimes, but overall wasn't terrible.
Right about the time the Heisman talk started, something changed. Bailed himself out of SCar.
But you can't defend the bad play vs t.u. and Miami.
He completes the short easy throws vs Miami and we likely beat em by 10+
But hey, you do you chief
