The stadium is great. We should be focusing on the total failure that is Levy concessions.

Agree

Our administration were idiots when it came to the Kyle Field renovation. Should have torn most if not all of it down and built a proper cohesive stadium.

We did pretty dang well. What would you have done within the given parameters? Demolish it all and not have played home games for a couple years?

Either demolish (play in Reliant for two years) or build new Kyle somewhere nearby on campus (if possible)..

If we did we'd be the only team in CFB to have an indoor/outdoor pro style stadium of our own. And would generate a ton more revenue for NIL, etc.

Big picture, it should have happened.

No thanks on some stale nfl style stadium. I hate nfl stadiums

Agree. Though I have only been to Houston and Dallas, they are stale. No soul. Feels different at Kyle. You can feel the enrgy. Strange but it feels like another character in the film.

We should have, at a minimum, redid the student side, even if it took another year. I agree it would have been a waste to redo the 12-15 year old Zone, but we'll regret not doing the student side, in my opinion.

They could probably do it anytime, I guess, but we may have to wait again until we win something meaningful.

The reason we didn't was the Americans with disabilities act, which would have mandated crap that significantly reduced capacity of the student section while significantly increasing the cost.

People complaining about Kyle proves some people will complain about anything.

There is no better stadium and fan experience in country better than Kyle, bar none

And I'm not being a homer. Every visiting fan base raves about. Heck, even the announcers do to

I've never been to Jones Stadium at Tech, but I hear that it's impressive and a wonderful venue.

sure, why not? the new Kyle is great but you can definitely see the new construction vs the zone vs the student section...better than someone turning their 2 car garage into a living room but still clearly an add on once you get inside

Kirk Herbstreit has gone on record in saying that Kyle Field is the nicest venue hes ever been to. Considering how many stadiums he's stepped foot in, its a huge compliment and should tell anyone all they need to know about Kyle

I'll tell OP what I tell my parents. Anything you see on Facebook should be questioned, especially if it gets an emotional reaction out of you. Anything you see on a "group page" or "fan page" is 99% of the time fake AI slop. At a minimum just click on the poster's account and you will see it's a fake person.

At different times last year my mom told me Johnny was our new coach, A&M had left for the Big 10, and the Dallas Cowboys were changing their name to be more politically correct. "But I saw it on Facebook"…

And yet everyone who visits Kyle leaves talking about how incredible it is…

And playing out of town would have put every hotel and restaurant in BCS out of business…

And stadiums don't generate money for nil…

And new construction would have had much lower capacity at a cost of 3 or 4 times as much…

But sure, what your fantasy tells you must be true.

Kyle is gonna be outdated in what 10 years? and then your rah rah buls**** will be replaced with another fundraising campaign and rebuild... We basically redid our stadium like the Chicago Bears... Who are already asking for a new one. Good luck.

Saw a rendering on a 2.8 billion dollar transformation. That seems like a lot a lot.

I grew up around there, I don't think you can put enough lipstick on the pig that is the Texas panhandle but apparently Tech has money to just literally burn.

I think overpaying recruits suits their purpose better but I'm sure they're going to raise the bar there too. Will be interesting to see how far it goes for them.

Yeah, Sunray. Who wants to be around, or even see all those disabled people. They should know their place and stay out of sight!! Do you have any facts/statistics for this slam at people with disabilities?

I honestly don't know whether to take this response seriously or not?

Could an educated adult really be this moronic?

Surely not.

But just in case, the ADA sets minimum requirements for things like seat width, space between rows, aisle width, and so on. Building to those requirements would have lowered capacity of the student section by 15 to 20%, and increased the cost by many millions.

And the benefit to handicapped people would have been negligible, because there are already sections specifically built for handicapped access.

But I know facts and common sense are wasted on some people, so feel free to keep going with the brainless personal attacks.
